My 14 year drew antelope again. After a couple afternoon hunts she told me the other day it was time to stop looking at antelope and get one. We'd been watching a buck that she liked on our neighbors land. After a stalk that included crawling under the bottom wire of a barbed wire fence and then to the edge of the tall grass she got set up sitting with shooting sticks. I bet she had to wait 15 minutes until he presented a shot and the does and some deer were out of the way.
She shot, he took about 10 steps then stopped for about 5 seconds and tipped over.
She shoots a 22-250 Winchester feather weight with a 3x9 leupold. 64 grain nosler. She got him through the lungs and it exited. This is her third big game with that combo and we are liking it. Shot distance was 224 yards.[img]

That photograph is nothing less than a family treasure.
Outstanding! Dunno. Try hitting return (line spacing) a couple times between text and pic. Or post pic fiirst , then go back and “edit” with text above it
Way to go lady! And triple backup that picture.
Also, I suspect the original picture did not come up due to the "http" Perhaps if one edited it to "https" the original might work.
Nice work! I got a buck today too.
As far as the picture, I am unsure what you did wrong but if you click on the link that is where the picture should be, you'll get to the image thread you created for the picture, then right click on the picture itself and you'll get:

Went on my first Antelope hunt Friday, Oct 6. I do believe I am hooked.
Ralphie congrats to you and your daughter especially. Great photo ,nice buck. I am always interested in antelope pics with horns, I note the high base height of the prongs that make the hooks look short, I see that here in different areas of South Dakota that the same genetics are present. Then in some areas the prongs are lower and hooks longer neat either way. Any gal that can sort the wheat from the chaff and know when to stop shopping, will go a long way in life. Looks like you have done a great job of parenting to me. MB
