Hey all.

I am looking for recommendations on outfitters in Manitoba for a moose hunt. It is one of my bucket list hunts and I figure I will get one in while I build up points for my Montana Elk hunt. I chose Manitoba because I can drive up to the fly-out point (if it is a fly-in camp) and because I don't have an extra kidney or child to sell to fund a Yukon moose hunt.

Thank you in advance for your input!
Good day,
Two lodges that would probably give you the adventure would be Webbers on North Knife lake which is in the very high north of Manitoba. They offer Moose($14500) Caribou($10500) or a combo for ($17500). I have not personally used them but a friend several years ago went for Caribou and what he says was the trip of a lifetime. Float plane out of Thompson MB to camp.

One I have used for 5 consecutive yrs for fly in fishing is Jacksons Lodge which is half way up on the eastern side of Manitoba which would still offer what you seek for adventure. Their less remote prices are about half what a true north Tundra experience would be ($6800) for Moose last I saw. Bob Jackson and son Shawn run an awesome outfit with great full service camps. Float bases at Lac du Bonnet or Bisset MB about 3 hrs from ND/MB border.

Good Luck! Bob.
Bob,

Thank you very much for the information! I will look into both of them.
I hunted with these folks in 2007. Both my hunting partner and I got our moose. Food was very good, cabins were clean and nice, guides worked hard. The week I was there 4 out 5 got moose and the other guy missed. They were 75% on moose that year.
