What temperature do you set your deep freezer to?
The FDA says to set to 0F but mine seems to run all the time. If I raise it to 10-15F it runs a lot less but then I wonder if I'm going to make myself sick.
Everything I've read says it should be at least 0⁰F. Mine is set at -3⁰F. Id rather be safe than sorry.
As long as mine freezes solid I don't care.
Around 10 degrees warmer than.....where we were camped about 3 days ago!

Freezer burn is caused by dehydration in improperly wrapped food. The colder it is, the slower that happens. Anything less than maybe 25 will freeze food but keeping it close to 0 will minimize burn. In case of a power outage, the colder it is, the longer it will keep. The difference between 0 and -3 is irrelevant.
Both of mine are set to 0
Mine run about -10 in summer, -30 in winter. Both are non frost free. If they were to run above -10 I would adjust the knob.
Several years back I read to run them -10 F to +10 F
