Who is going?

I'll be there representing Hunters Namibia Safaris in booth #3953. After the fantastic Dallas and Houston shows, we are expecting Las Vegas to be truly outstanding. I hope lots of the Campfire clan are able to drop by the booth and say hello. See you there.

I would love to attend. Too bad it is an exclusive members only show. I am not cheap ... but $65.00 for a 1 yr. membership + another $119.00 for a 1 day show ticket seems like a lot to me. A day pass for the DSC show is what ... $20.00? And, correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think you have to join the DSC to attend their show.

I'll be working for Blaser at the Euro-Optics booth. I also want to check out the latest in long-range rifles and optics.

You generally don't realize how poor you are, until you got to an SCI Convention.

And how fortunate some 50-something guys are to have good-looking 20-something "nieces" to help them navigate the aisles.

We went to it several years ago. Great seeing all of the hunting gear/outfitters, and some of the most choice people watching you can imagine. I don't think I've ever seen so many toupee's and Hair Club for Men clients in one place, in my life! Lot's of gold chain and pinky rings as well.

The SCI convention was a raging success for Hunters Namibia Safaris, the company I represent, but traffic for the week was way down. We were told attendance was down 28% from last year. Our booth was very busy with a great mix of former clients, returning clients, new clients and prospective clients. Marina Lamprecht's two Namibia seminars were well attended and well received. We had an excellent show season and are looking forward to another great safari season.
