Returned from Burkina Faso on Saturday. Shot buff, Roan, Waterbuck and Kob with 1965 Browning FN Safari .375HH. 300gr Swift for buff and 260gr Nosler A-bond for other game. Each one shot. Buff @ 20yds after 5 mile track. Roan @ 200yds, Kob @ 125yds and Waterbuck @ 75yds. Saw elephants, snakes, birds, bugs, lizards, crocs, warthogs and Hippos. Accommodations were huts and camping. Didn't get a shot at bushbuck which was high on my list.

Got detained by military and police taking our passports, fingerprints, photos, etc. for four hours due to Mali-based al Qaeda terrorist bombing in Ougadougou Friday where 16 were killed and 80 injured. Return flight to Paris was also detoured and delayed to Contonou, Benin for three hours.

Outstanding hunt (and rifle!) too bad the Wogs almost spoile your hunt with all the troubles. Welcome back!

Nice trophies. Western Africa can be great. I enjoyed 2 great safaris in Cameroon. The one in the north had same game you took. Fantastic that you got the roan.

REALLY cool stuff! I am loving the Roan in particular. Also noted about the terrorist bombing..odd didnt hear a thing about it in the states. I got blown up in one of them in Namibia in 1987...wasnt reported in the states either...congrats on a safe trip and great trophies!
