this turnaround is a perfectly Sci-Fi ploy and nothing in the video depicts events that did not happen during the slavery days: Names and culture were stripped away, a woman did not even own her own body, neither did she own her children from the moment of birth. Likewise a husband had no legal standing to prevent the abuse or sale of his own wife or children.
