My eyes are trained to start at the top left. Witty jumps right out, but wise and confident and happy were read almost simultaneously. I tend to read several lines of print at a glance.

For some reason, perhaps because I sit at the computer with my head slightly cocked to the right, the first thing that I saw was "wise", but my eyes instantly shot back to the left and I saw "witty".
