If the pictures in a kazillion Tex Mex restaurants are to be believed, the Aztecs used to toss drop-dead gorgeous women into volcanoes, they weren't blondes tho.

I've got a pontoon and have been looking for ideas myself. We love to take the dogs out on the boat and trying to get them loaded back onto it on the water, is a bear. My initial thought was to build something that could be stored between the pontoon underneath the deck, then be deployed out the front....I've heard of people using short metal extension ladders and wrapping them with pool noodles and putting some wood cleats on every other wrung....Id be interested to see what you come up with.

Yes, you are correct. They degenerated to the lowest level of humanity, killing and eating their own, as have many of the modern elite.

Look at pool ramps for dogs. Maybe you could modify one for a boat?

Good idea

My dogs just jump in the boat from the dock.

Seven years ago my canoe was capsized in the middle of the Lower Hudson River by the tidal rip at about 400 yards from shore, I was wearing a cheap, old KMart life preserver, which promptly rode up around my chin. Sure was sobering looking at all that water from eye level while moving downstream with a rapidly flowing tidal swell. OTOH, relevant to this discussion, fortunately a passing cabin cruiser was close by.

It had what is called a swimming platform or swimming deck on the back end, just above the water level, I think it folded up when not in use. It sure came in handy at that moment in time. Apologies if this ain't helpful.

Here's a telescoping one so it would be easy to store on a boat.
