Those are purty Wabbi. You should set the Gillyman right in the middle of them flowers, then grandma would have two of her favorite things in the same picture.
Wagigoon, Keep the good work in suggesting pictures. Great idea, and I would love to contribute again, but I am in the hospital with a broken hip. I will be able to start contributing again in a day or so! There some real neat pictures here today. The cactus pictures sure beat the ones we have here!

Heck, just post up some pictures of the nurses......
Crappy pic but these are Wild horses drinking out of lake Sakakawea in ND. We took a break from catching walleye's and these critters came down to the bay we were in.
Our garden flowers are late this year with Lilies just starting to show. The Icelandic poppies are still doing well and have been attracting quite a few bumble bees.
Lot's of waterfowl around. The hatches are pretty good. A blue wing and a ruddy.
Our daughters dog -- 12 years old. Rescue. A lady in her 70's had to go into a care home that would not allow pets. He had some adjustments but has come a long ways.
NY bear from last fall. Found a proper piece of wood floating in the river. Hollowed it out. Fabbed up a metal stand and wired in some LED lights. I think I’m going to tone down the brightness a bit. Lost the hide when my freezer died in March. The hole in the skull was from the bullet. Ruger .44 carbine did a number on him
Thank you sir. That's my youngest girl Novi, going on 7 already. She's always been quite a character. I love her dearly. My one shot at raising one full time and she's teaching me a lot.

I can't remember who built the rifle and loaded the rounds, but he is a member here. He called it a 50 cal Hush Puppy. He let us shoot it. It was a really sweet rifle. Custom build. I think that's Crimson Tide standing in the picture, but I can't remember who the hell built the rifle.
That is freaking awesome! I will find that some day.
Timbermaster, The way it got there is through private land. The story goes that some guys plus the land owner picked it up in Billings and drove to above Roscoe where it sits now. It is accessible on forest service land after crossing the West Rosebud River at Pine Grove campground and then straight up.The pictures were taken by accessing it from private land---no longer accessible by me.If you are ever in Columbus give me a call (pm me for number) and maybe I can drive you up to where I am talking about. Right now I am healing from a broken hip but hopefully it wont slow me down much. Ken
No, I bought it. It works pretty good, but it takes a few minutes to hook up. It really helps if it's a big deer and I'm by myself. If it's a dink, I'll just throw it up there. But as I get older, this thing is a real back saver with the big deer.
When me and my hunting buddy first found Initial Rock it was down a barely passable two track "road." It was a lot more legible then.
There was no protection for the carvings at all. Some dickhead carved "Fughk You" in between the two privates carvings.
Now there is a make shift roof and chicken wire all around it to try and preserve it and a semi maintained road and small, primitive, campground by it.
Day late and a dollar short, IMO.
The pic below is how it looks now. It was way more "wild" when we first found it.
If your wife suggests dragging you to this, stab her and hide the body or just shoot yourself before you have to go. My GOD that is nails on a chalkboard schidt!

Thanks Ken, I appreciate the offer. Next time I am up in your area I will give you a shout. It would be awesome to see that tractor. It is is great shape and not much has been pilfered off of it. Sorry to hear about your hip.
Coming back from Rhode Island Sunday. NAWCAD Lakehurst NJ.
The large hangars with the orange doors are airship hangars with the first one built in 1921 to house the USS Shenandoah. The concrete pad to the upper right of the hangars is where the Hindenburg crashed. The thing that looks like an odd shooting range to the upper left are test catapult tracks. I landed a Prowler on the runway to the left of those in 91 to do some Tailhook testing and it had one of every set of arresting gear (including ships) that the Navy used.

Pugs I was in those hangers in the mid 50's and got to climb into one of the gondola's......and I was all of 7-9 years old but some memories live on into old age!

Cool! The dirigible age was fascinating to me. Amazing what we were able to do with giant wood structures back then. Today the environmental protection study prior to breaking ground would take years.
I built my own house, did everything except finish the concrete ( did pad, forming, plumbing, grade beams and rebar), insulation ( Company did it cheaper than I could buy material) , sheetrock, and lay the brick.
Paul, your before pictures look like a lot of the homes I've seen in rural, southern Manitoba. Is it that people just got old and moved on and nobody bothers to fix them up until someone like yourself comes along?
Can't wait to see your next pics! I'll bet that place will be nice!
Yeah, I hear you Hanco, I normally fish 3 times a week in summer.
Season opened May 16th & I've been out 5 times !
'bout written this year off, but it'll all be worth it.
Doing as much as possible ourselves, but hired a contractor for this project. I'm helping with labour, as work time allows.
I pulled the deck off with the tractor, after they detached from the roof, then dug the trench for the footings & sono tubes, + I'll be finishing the new deck interior.
Cooling off in the San Saba while sitting on a rock ledge. Cold beer in the floating, iced down, cooler.
Birdwatcher lettin you hang out with him and his friends?
That’s awesome.
No, a surgeon, a dentist, and South Texas rancher, farmer, fruit and vegetable packing business owner who ships fruit and veggies all over the US and parts of Canada.
Danny has some of those $20,000+ breeder cattle. He has their pile of eggs harvested and artificially inseminated, then plants those fertilized eggs in his scrubb cattle on his Brush Country ranches. When they later drop a heifer, viola- $25,000 cow.
Dentist was a heli pilot who flew some pretty bad missions in Vietnam war. Hunts birds only.

It was a newborn the previous night and still wobbly. 8/15/2018 It could not get thru fence, Mom was close in the brush. I picked it up and set it over the fence and walked away.
Found these just now---Myself, mi wife and our 4 year old grandson dog sledding near Chico Hot Springs . Between Livingston and Gardiner Mt I had to drive one sled myself. I found out I wasn't ready for the Iditarod.
Our daughter has always had an eye for art. She took this pic when she was 11 or 12. It's a swing the kids hung up in the yard years before. She titled it "memories."
Nice all. Paul, I remember reading about a women, I think west of Dryden that made chairs, and such with antlers. I also think she was fined for selling parts of game animals?
This Falcon flew into my garage door window. I got to him before the dogs and protected him until he got his marbles back. He flew up into a tree after about 20 minutes and was just fine.
Beautiful! I had several Superposed Browning’s when I quail hunted. Joy to shoot!
Yes it is, thank you. I've got a set of Carlson choke tubes for it now and it's my go to for sporting clays. I love it. I found it on the "used" rack at a local gun store about 5 years ago. I don't think it had ever been shot and it was like brand new. I paid $1400.00. I ran the numbers on it and it was built in 1994. It was a really good find.
Neighbors----Herons and Buzzards----- Seen from my house------Turkey Vultures moved in to a Blue Heron Rookery---Both have moved-----Yellowstone has moved the trees!
I would love to see some of Canada before my wife decides to quit driving!----She refuses to ride with me .She says I gawk too much! I have only run off the road a few times in 48 years of marriage.
Brian, I grew up catching tailor (bluefish) in the surf, in Australia, biggest was just over 10lbs.
Bleed them, put into saltwater ice slurry, fillet & skin once home, dredge in seasoned flour & into a pan of grease. Squeeze of lemon, liberal salt & you got a really great meal.
Lots of people there don't like to eat them, but it's more about the above prep steps, than bad, mushy, dark, fishiness !

Yeah, I'm not a big fish eater. If the wife wants some, I'll generally just filet it on the tailgate of the truck as soon as it dies. Then I skin the filet. It's OK for me if I do that. Sometimes if we get into them real heavy, we can catch 20 to 50 in a couple of hours. Generally 99.9% of them go back into the ocean. They're just fun as hell to catch. But like hunting, sometimes you go out there and don't even get a hit.
whackem stackem, Really like the pictures and would like to see them in person. To me, that is Minnesota, and it wouldn't be complete with out the Loon
Wooden railroad bridge that separates my cousins house from my Uncles house. Train threw a spark and started a grass fire and burnt this antique bridge. Cousin had to drive the equipment 7 miles around to get to the farmland on that side. He had to crawl down and up the steep banks twice a day to do cattle chores. This went on for over a year before the railroad finally caved in and replaced the bridge with a concrete one. This is 3 miles from my house.
Been getting out a couple of days a week fishing and sporting clays. We have lakes that are draw only for Walleye with slot size limits. This is the season limit for this lake to keep - 2 A class (over 50 cm) and 3 B class (43 to 50 cm). The Rizzini is my new sporting clays gun. I am quite enjoying it.
Pass this location 10 times a week. Had a pretty good blow about a month anda half ago. It did some damage to the roof of one of our 'Fire guy's in Helena. A lot of fresh blowdown where it hit direct from the west. Bad spot for me to get a good picture, here it is nonetheless. Would have been something to witness.
Necro-thread. Times are challenging but we should all try to go out and make the best of our lives. Fight the long fight.
Me with a snook a couple weeks ago fishing with my Dad and Brother on south Tampa Bay.
Stunning fall weather here in the Mid-Atlantic today. Flew the club Archer up to Sudbury PA for an EAA fly in. Lunch was a dozen different homemade soups at their grass runway airport on an island in the Susquehanna River.
These threads go so long who knows what I have posted. Home sweet home on the Caspian. The outer "wings" there to break up ice before hitting the island. That said, summer brought out the seals and 100+ heat. Crazy design parameters. An engineered island and really an engineering feat...
