I had to come back to California for a few days and went to Oakland to see some friends (i.e., buy weed legally). Oakland has always had some rough spots, but I was pretty impressed with how extensive the rot had spread in a mere two months. A number of side streets have been blocked off by cops to allow the mini CHAZ encampments to flourish. There are now tents in the middle of the streets and broken down RVs and campers on the sides.

I was in my CA car, which has a Trump 2020 bumper sticker. This guy was walking by and turned around after seeing my sticker and started pounding on my window. When I rolled down the window and asked what I could help him with, he started yelling. He stopped yelling when he saw the wrong side of my handgun, which was pointed at the center of his face.
