Mark McCloskey... and Minneapolis... and Dayton Ohio got me thinking.

If looters, rioters, terrorists, statue pulldowns, politicians and no police can cause homes and or cities to be abandoned to the pilliagers... and former owners take their insurance check (paid by ALL OF US THAT OWN ANYTHING OTHER THAN Nikes, a blunt and a cold 40)... how can this transfer of wealth be measured?

Unless the looters can sell the real estate, how is this a transfer of wealth??

You will be taxed to pay for all their destruction. And you will be taxed to pay for various programs that support the filth that is destroying all this history.
They sure as hell are not going to pay for it.

There is no transfer of wealth, you have zero insurance coverage for riots and/or civil unrest. When they burn your building to the ground you are royally screwed. Our government might offer you a cheap loan to rebuild, leaving you with two mortgages on your property.

You assume that insurance companies pay for damages associated with war, riot or insurrection.

Better read your policy. Closely.

It will be interesting to see the insurance companies in Seattle handling Summer of Love claims.

A simple proxy measure would be a change in aggregrate, or, for that matter you could use retaliative values, property values between say, Minneapolis and area's with good internet access in rural Montana.

Or you could use the basket approach, Minneapolis, NYC, SF, and Seattle vs. rural Montana, Texas, Idaho and Utah.

One would think so intelligently but Mark Mckloskey and his wife are experiencing the opposite it appears. Insurance companies do not cover insured for acts of war they have suffered loss to. JUST THINK HOW that would jack your premiums. MB

Correct. They (mostly) do not.

I don't know how, but somehow the government or the banks will end up with the money.
