95 in the mountains but it will be 45 overnight so can’t complain.
Hell just looking at the lingering snow drifts on the 'Back' can cool ya off........
Passed through there last week....went to Coalville.......downtown........................................
Not much left on the Timpanogos. But it’s still nice to see snow in July... Haven’t been to Coalville in a while. Hopefully you didn’t catch Covid. Summit county is really bad right now...
84 right now. Just got back from Henry's Lake with a couple of nice trout. Fillet 'em up for dinner. Working on a bottle of Beam picked up at the Chevron station in Ririe yesterday. Be about 68 tonight. Friggin warm. Trout, its what's for dinner!
Ya know, living in this house with windows and doors open, seems like we've lost a lot going to the airtight boxes we build now for purposes of climate control.
Obviously I'm full-bore getting out of debt mode, but a single room w/AC would be sufficient for me, and temps in the 50's inside in winter don't trouble me at all.
As a kid growing up in England I couldn't keep tropical fish because it rarely got about 65 indoors and was most often in the 50's.
Of course I ain't got a woman in the house either......
It just occurred to me why she's running around dressed like that.
Obviously she's looking for a guy with no AC [/quote
That might be me. Have never had any AC in northern Nv as an adult. My surrogate Mother gave us a swamped cooled existence from 7'th grade till 12'th grade. Not a speck of AC in the dorms from 79 to 82 when I bowed out. Never had a apartment with AC. My wife of 33 years had AC and banned me from from using it while crashing in her app whilst sleeping for the next nights work.
Didn't even have AC in a vehicle untill '94 when we moved to the No.Sac valley. Got my Izusu outfitted with AC. Best decision I ever made.
By the way it was 97* today and lovely now. Opened up the house and gettin the last bit of the Washoe Zephyer cool the house.
107° by my back yard thermometer. Down to 67° tonight. We are supposed to get down under 100° on Tuesday for a week or so then temps will get back to pushing 100° again.
Only officially 103 on the 'net, but 108 in the shade registering on my porch thermometer which has always proven accurate. Highest temperature on my porch ever that I can recall.
24% RH on the 'net
The hottest part of the day typically comes around 4pm as heat radiates back up from the ground.
106* here, will likely hit 109 in the next few hours. I love it when people say "good thing it's a dry heat" out there where you live. Well, they cook freaking pizza in dry heat. It'll still kill you.
Looks like it's 120 in Parker right now. Not sure where you're at.
IME, above about 110 it really doesn't matter anymore...laffin..
Brother lives near there. His patio thermometer hit 120 also.
Upriver some in Bullhead City, this morning's low was 91F but only 118 officially for a high yesterday.
I lived upstream of there in the early 2000's. It was not nice at this time of year.
I no longer enjoy that much heat. I think the 5 days in a row over 120F cured me of that. Waking up after midnight to go outside for something and seeing the thermometer still over 105 let's one know you're in for a hot one the next day.
Today's weather report from the NWS, current temp 84F, 18% Humidity, 10 MPH W wind. Humidity will be in the single digits by 5 PM as it has the rest of the week. Going up to 96F by Thurs. Plenty hot enough for me nowadays. No more thinking that it's HOT when it reaches 110 as you say Greg. It's HOT by the time it hits 95 now.
I'm a wimp in my old age................either that or I've acclimated to the High Desert and still having frost on the 18th of June.
We had a high of 77* here in upstate NY today. Supposed to be a high of 78 tomorrow, then low to mid 80's for the next few days. I really envy the folks down South in their sweltering heat. Haahahahaha......... Yeah right.

Go outside and look at the sky, in Upstate New York you are at about 45 degrees North, San Antonio is at 29 degrees North, at sidereal noon today the sun was at 21 degrees North.
So the sun was only 8 eight degrees off of vertical down here around noontime, up there it was about 24 degrees off of vertical. This is why your summer sky up there is so much bluer than ours, and the sunlight less intense. Down here the midday summer sun is so intense it just washes out everything.

One good thing about the heat is that it weeds the riffraff out...
