Outstanding
Awesome!!! I love those little guys. One of the best baits I've used is a bullfrog tongue. Those tongues are tough and you can catch a boat load of perch with just one.Enjoy your catch!!!
Stearns? Milhouse? Or is that the 68th St bridge in the background? Doesn't matter. Fish fry at Mags tonight!

Kudos to the lad. Looks like he was having a blast!
Hard to imagine a better way to spend a day. Enjoy the time, he will be gone before you know it.
Awesome catch!
mag, that's an awesome day, brother.
My favorite fish to eat. Good job Aiden!๐Ÿ‘

A great day! Congrats! memtb
Great job Dad. I started taking my G daughter when she was four or five, and her Dad took her out often as well.

Today, she is seventeen and will be a Senior in H School this fall. She goes out with her Mom on their boat quite often, and with me every chance I get to take my boat out. On the off days, there's a pond in front of my house with large mouth and smallies. I don't think a day goes by, that she does not pick up a rod and reel.

It sure beats the hell out of all the things the other senior class girls are doing with their free time.

Start 'em young and they will have a lifetime of enjoyment.
He will never forget his first fish . Great pictures .

Absolutely, I figure give them something other than drugs or alcohol to spend their time and money.

68th street bridge would be to the left, straight ahead is the cow farm.

Nobody is fishing that backwater right now so there is no pressure on the fish. we ran out of worms so we left. I'll bet we caught close to 50 fish today in 2 1/2 hours.

Super jealous Iโ€™m 4 weeks from being an empty nester and loosing my last hunting and fishing partner to the university. Enjoy every minute time goes way to fast.
Those are some nice gills !!
My first fish was a bluegill and I think I was about 5. My father and I were anchored about 15โ€™ from a little island in a private pond using a cane pole and worms or crickets. I hooked one and was pulling, trying to get it to the boat and my father said, โ€œpull harderโ€. Well, I gave a yank and that sucker flew from the open water on one side of the boat almost to the island on the other side. I got him though ๐Ÿ˜Š

Kids and bluegills..... hard to beat.
Thanks for sharing. Needed a pick-me-up ๐Ÿ‘
Do not discount how important some of you are to your kids doing these activities. My dad was always on the road and I don't think he really knew much about hunting and fishing and camping. I would kind of venture out on my own or with a friend. My dad was truly a great man but I think I would have treasured moments like these with him.
