The two movies have it different. How does the book have it?
He didn't die in the book.
Good book to read. I enjoyed it.

Pretty much.

I never did figure out why the Coen brothers put in that entire saga with the guy hanged high up in the tree though. Then people trading the corpse back and forth, and pulling teeth from it.

That added nothing.
