Just for comparison, a quick Google Fu for Montana shows 39 deaths in a population of 1.09 million for 0.004%.

About half, or maybe more, of those Montana 39 are nursing home deaths. And 2/3 well over 60.

Oh, hell. I'm nearly 72. I'm pulling another bed sheet over my head.... smile

It ain't smart to be stupid about it though. I'm not even shaking my own hand lately. And hardly after I pee.... Never can tell.... smile

How many of the 18 were traffic deaths?

Deaths dont matter.

It's positive cases that matter.
The only important thing is the biggest number one can
gin up to raise the hysteria level!

Ticks me off.
I want to hear death rates. Numbers of people that need medical
help/or hospitals. They keep telling us around 100 here.
Positive tests.

Big deal. Spread over 3 or more months and 50k people.

4 deaths, and I know of one on a ventilator for almost 2 weeks now.

That's real. What's important. .008% death

More cases due to more testing, but trips to hospitals record low. Im sure people want time off work, so naturally being "sick" has rewards. Hospitals wont turn away the bonus cash.

How will we ever know the true number of deaths?
Posted By: blindshooter Re: more morbid Covid - 07/21/20
Talking heads don't ever tell the whole story, in NC 44% of the current cases are Hispanics. Best I can tell they account for about 10% of the population this time of the year. Lots of them come from the Mexico US border where the infection rates are high.

Couldn't figure the death rates from the sites I checked.....

We won't. Garbage in, garbage out.

140,000 deaths each and every year due to alcohol.

Let's renew prohibition!

Probably an equal number due to drugs.

Mistakes in hospitals even more.

Not to mention traffic deaths, the ordinary flu, diabetes, cancer, heart disease.

So stop the bullshit and let the Covid take its course.

Idaho's had 122 deaths for .007%. The Boise valley, Ada and Canyon counties, have 39% of the state's population but 65% of the cases. It's really hard to find much about the ages of the victims but when numbers do come out, they show that ages 75 and up have by far the largest fatality rate. What a surprise. Idaho, and the Boise area in particular, have long been a favorite retirement area with many out-of-stater retirees moving in. They can make their money in CA then sell out and move to Idaho, buy a house for 1/3 of the price and have a nice retirement nest egg left over.
There's been a big surge in cases in the last week and more than 50% have been in the 19-29 year old group with many more in the 29-39 group. Seems that the invincible kids are saying screw the self isolation and are partying in large groups.

And thats the real shame. (Of many)

We are dealing with this, somewhat, based on knowledge of the 1918 flu.
With the almost nonexistent tech of the day, lessons were learned, data compiled.

When the dust clears, the graves covered, the bill added up,
We will have twisted and polluted the data so badly that we have blown this
opportunity to learn for future outbreaks.

The American people never hear the truth. We are pawns in a game we see little of.
