You’re on here every day for years and don’t understand previous shortages and runs on ammo due to political and chaotic supply chain events, hoarding, etc. ??
Hope you have a few rounds to pack your iron at church.
+1........... Best to keep a good amount on hand and just replenish as you use it. Using the oldest stuff first. Then during one of our all too common supply line disruptions you don't have to sweat about the empty shelves in the ammo department.

Do you reload ? Components are still available. Just bought more bullets and primers yesterday. Pretty sure I won't need anymore in my lifetime and my sons/grandsons will probably be well supplied for years after I'm gone.

Florida, Montana, Texas, Arizona, Alaska and Tennesee too.
I called our part time gun shop, nothing! I'm glad I called instead of driving.
Mr. Rip Van Winkle, Winchester bonded 180gr police ammo $24.95 per 50 is pretty good price (@Aim Surplus). As I have stated long ago .40S&W is one of the best calibers to have. Americans don't like "Short & Weak" meaning you're more likely to find ammo when everything else is out.

Lets have a Whhhhhhoooaaa Bundy !!! For Tennessee!!!!
If I was some pogue who had plenty of money but no guns, I could go to the local farm store and buy a complete arsenal tonight along with ammo for it. It wouldn't be extremely expensive either.
if I went somewhere and they had 30 boxes of .22 hollow point, whatever the brand....I would get a few while I was there staring at the new calf halters.
When Mid South Shooters is out of almost everything it a serious shortage , you might find some shotgun shells .
Our local Cabass Pro now has 3 full rows front/back filled with scattergun loads that use to be all RF & CF loads. What if any remains of those would just about fit in two hands.
Midsouth has tula 9mm in stock....... 11ish bucks a box IIRC Yep..... 11ish a box for Tula . Sign of the times. For what its worth. Tula..... Suppose it being steel case it is what it is considering availability right now. If a person was to order some, I would most definately shoot some to see how reliable it is in their pistol. I wouldnt blindly put faith in Tula steel case pistol ammo without trying it. No way....... If it aint reliable, sell it to someone , it might run in a different pistol.
Person could set up an account and order it shipped tonight.
Several "deals" (LOL) online for 1k at 34 35 36 cents a round also..... Various American brass case stuff and Fiocchi and Geko brass case.
Its out their ...... Premium prices though..........

Same here! After that last supply snafu several years back I started laying components back as they became available. Ive got thousands and thousands of primers, many, many, many hundreds of bullets, cases, and enough powder that if the house catches on fire the neighbors and the fire department are in trouble!! LOL
Slumlord be nice man!!! Sell wabigoon some of your .22 stash man. So he dont have set up a online account to get some. Ship it free man . Be a pal man....
Surely you could spare 4 or 5 k???
Small dent in the hoarde for ya man...
Slumlord has enough .22 for a TWRA weekend Nashville disadvantaged kids shooting event.
I have about 1000 rounds of steel case ammo through my .380 without a single hitch. I have 700 or so steel 5.56 through my most used AR-15. No problems, My 9mm and 45's get brass but only because its what I have stashed. I'd run steel through them as well if I had any. Donations gladly accepted.....I'
Get yourself at least a brick of velocitors for that pistol Wabi. They are speer gold dot based design HP,s. Worth the money, you can thank me later. Signed "Meany" giving ya some solid advice. Not bullschitting you.
After the Janet Reno fiasco, along with the .22 LR fiasco, I am surprised anyone runs low on ammo, dont people learn from experience.?
Sometimes. A wrinkle to that is making sure stuff is available, and maybe buying ahead, before purchasing certain new guns. I was going to order a rifle online but it was out of stock. A few days later i noticed that not only was brass no longer available on the store shelves, hornady has discontinued it, and factory ammo is unavailable as well. Ok .. good thing I did not order that one. I would have screwed up if they'd let me, if there'd been guns in stock to order.
When it comes to ammo and reloading components - fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! There is no reason for getting caught without ammo or components, we have been through this several times before.

I'm shootin 200 SR primers every day I go out for p/dogs
The 9mm Luger ball is about 25% more than it was before Covid-19 pandemic. For example, Federal Syntech is $18.95 per 50 available at Aim Surplus. The 9x18 is up by less than 10% in same time period. Sample is Norma ball at $13.95 per 50 at Aim Surplus. We have to remember that this 9x18 is brass cased with copper jacket not iron case with copper-washed iron-jacketed bullet usually found in Russian and Chinese ammo.
