I was jumping between a 4560 and a 4760, disc and chisel plow. Both are in great shape and belong to my neighbor, who was kind enough to rent them to me. Last week was spent reworking drainage on my little farm. I had a bunch of tile plowed in and would go over the backfill with the chisel plow. I then disced the whole place. There’s lots of Roundup resistant marestail out this way, so super slow discing. Everything was sprayed 5 weeks ago. I’ve been waiting on the tile guy. In addition to tile, we reworked surface drainage into a system of two waterways. They’ll be maintained in grass and we’ll be able to farm straight through them. My long runs in the upper field are now over 800 yrds.
