Single strand between the crown of a cedar and trunk of an oak tree about 50’ apart and 20-25’ above the ground. No overhanging limbs and the ground is covered with grass. Another from a cherry tree to the eve of my home, about 20’ above the lawn at the tree and ballpark 14-15’ at the eve.

Thought of that but we haven’t had a breeze in the time frame of their appearance. Not the first puff. Nothing but a lot of vertical rainfall. Maybe they’re stunt surfers?

Electrostatic Repulsion, Ballooning, Web Sailing, many ways and for long distances and altitudes. Thousands of feet up in the air and thousands of miles out to sea.. Walked through a single strand the other night across the driveway from tree to tree that felt like fishing line.
