Not what happened. Partner, who was shot in the forehead and bleeding profusely (bullet didn't penetrate his skull) took over and called in after the RTO had problems understanding the female deputy. She got the 998 code out, though (#998- deputy OIS). She had been shot in the jaw and upper torso.

Good job for both deputies. Both immediately got out of the car and put their backs to the wall in the alcove where they were. Female, who herself was bleeding, tried to stop her partner's bleeding from his head wound while watching the crowd.

She acted heroically in this situation, nothing more, nothing less. No mention was made of a husband, so I assume she is a single mom. Neither you nor I know why she is single; she could be a widow. To say she would be better off at home with her kid is ridiculous. No doubt the kid would be better off if he were being raised in a two parent household, but I'd say the mom is setting a pretty good example for him to follow.

those who idolize cops may not want to hear this but LA deputies heavily involved in gang activities. they rob steal sell drugs and kill. there are many groups of deputies...the spartans -regulators-grim reapers-banditos. the state AG involved and asked the DOJ for help. the Don who calls himself the sheriff cleaned all the files on gangs inside his office. Sep 3rd a congressional house committee has formed to "look into it" and asked the DOJ to start investigation. it will go nowhere and trump maybe would pardon the killers narcos and thieves anyway.
