I bet we see a lot of market volatility next week as the market movers try to decipher how all this impacts the election. I went all cash again recently so I'm looking for a direction to take advantage of personally.

Up until 1994 I held stocks for an average of 5 months and lost 20% per year.
My father was making +20% per year and told me to hold for 5 years if the reasons for buying were still valid.
I switched to long term investing in 1994

I made +20%/ year under Clinton
I made +20%/ year under Bush 43
I made +20%/ year under Obama
I made +36%/year so far under Trump.

mostly all in on MSFT 1994, mostly all in on GOOG 2004, mostly all in on AMZN 2014.

I did not hold TSLA and NFLX long enough:(

Exactly.

I don't really pay attention to the day to day back and forth. It's just noise.

Watching the XLE energy sector spider roll over and breakdown. If it gets to 28ish I may start fishing for a bottom. Can't imagine it going back to that March low again.
