It's the autumnal equinox, when the sun crosses the equator and the seasons change. (Actually, I'm about half an hour early; it happens at 9:30 am Eastern.) Those of you who are tired of the heat can now look forward to being sick of the cold. Or vice-versa if you live in the Southern Hemisphere.
