Scavenger hunt!

What's a secert? I don't have a wife but every one of my past girlfriends have lied to me. My current woman is married but I've known her for most of my life. I guess you could say I am the secert.

Wry smile here. My dear wife wanted to buy an auction her aunt's ring, sentimental reasons.

I thought the ring would make a great Christmas gift.

I teamed up with our son, and the auctioneer to not take her bids, and bid me in.

So far, so good. Now the fun, and games start.

She was dissapointed at not getting the ring she bought a watch from the person that booths that.

I did the small box in larger box thing, a dishwasher box last. She now thinks she's getting a dishwasher as a gift, and starts thing she can't live without a new one.

So, it cost the price of the ring, a new dishwasher, and the watch.

She's worth that much, and more though! Here's the ring.

My wife and I have no secrets.

The combinations to the safes and that a friend/coworker is the beneficiary to a small life insurance policy. My wife will get the combinations upon my death providing I don't get them to her sooner and my wife will get enough from my pension, investments, and sale of toys that she will not even notice the insurance policy.

My coworker, on the other hand, would get a semester or more of college out of the policy. Providing I die sometime soon. Otherwise, it goes into a fund to be used towards a home, health, further education of her or her kids, or retirement. I am not having an affair with her, she is a real fireball who works a full and a part time job to put herself through vetinary school without taking out a loan. That she has this focus and ambition while still remaining fun to be around I feel should have a reward of some type.

There is a new Samsung S20 sitting in the cupboard waiting for a case to arrive in the mail...my wife hasn't a clue it is there for her. She has an old phone that frankly isn't up to the task so I thought this would be nice for her.
I try to put what coin we have spare in to making life easier, particularly for my wife.


I have been working each second weekend for the past few months to provide the extra little niceties for my girls.
