If Barrett is confirmed according to Bret Baier (sp?) on Fox.

I like the sound of that.
The two greatest legacies of Trump’sPresidency will be shining a white hot light on the deep state and propaganda wing. And his Supreme Court picks as compared to if Hillary had put three people on the court.
Cept it wasn’t a 5-4 Roberts Court, it was a 4-5 Roberts Court.

Now it will be a 5-4 Court

Correct.

On the really important issues like Obamacare Roberts has sided with the leftists. He's certainly not been a reliable conservative vote. I've heard it said that the reason no major second amendment cases have been brought before the court since Heller is because of Roberts leftist tendencies, we don't want him to rule with the left and set a precedence against the second.
When Barrett gets seated maybe we'll finally be able to get a decisive second amendment case that will strike down most of these unconstitutional gun control laws.

I too think Roberts is the reason no Second Ammendment cases have been considered by the Sulreme Court, but how will Thomas become Chief Justice?
People were bitchin cause the Supreme Kangaroos weren't takin 2A cases.

But that was because Roberts wasn't gonna go along with the RKBA.

We'll see if they take some 2A cases, now that Barrett is there.

It only takes 4 SC Justices to vote in favor of hearing a case.

Bingo.
Hopefully the older conservatives on the court don't make the same mistake Ginsberg did and stay on too long. If Trump wins and the Senate holds Republican they got 3 years or so to retire and be replaced with a younger conservative for the upcoming decades. If not they would be looking at possibly an 8 year stretch if the Dems win in 2024 which history shows theres a good chance of. So thats 12 years or better from now.

Yes

Roberts is a dirty sock puppet

But do you want rule in favor of hearing a case knowing that there was a good chance Roberts would rule against 2A? He not a rabid leftist to the point of going out of his way to hear pro 2A cases just to rule against them but I wouldn’t have any faith in his ruling if a pro 2A case were in front of him.

No I don’t, but as all it takes is 4 to bring a case before the court, why haven’t the 4 anti-second amendment justices voted in favor of hearing these Second Amendment cases if they know Roberts will vote with them.

In 20 years or so.

Considering the shift of younger voters to the left and socialism, I’d say you’re spot on. But once the leftist get power, they’ll fix it so it will never swing back, at least through ballots.
If Roberts has been turned (likely), his handlers won’t allow him to step down. Looks like we’re still stuck at 5/4 barring unforeseen circumstances.

And that has been a long, long time coming...

Hope Amy is in before the Election.
I don't know. With a 5-3 conservative/liberal split, Roberts may feel it's safe to go conservative. In his mind, no harm, no foul. For instance, if we had had a 5-3 conservative court when the Obama care case came up, Roberts might have sided with a 6-3 majority since it would not have been he who killed Obama care.

Agreed. Thank you. Need to drive a stake in their heart. Once and for all.
