Often have said if we married younger and had more free money we would have had another kid or so. Then adopted several that needed a home.
I know several doctors and business owners here who have done exactly that. And not because of "look at me" but because it makes all kinds of sense.
Story, my then 5 year old daughter was playing T ball with one of those doctors last genetic kids. They had just adopted a Chinese baby (outsourced? ) Em came over, looked at the baby and asked "Is she American?
Pretty cool people, they weren't at all offended, and I explained it to her.
We are talking about the democrats,nothing will be off limits and they will attack and smear her until the Senate vote.
This , and it will be their downfall. Unless they really have something big n nasty on her she will be confirmed. The Dems will look like azzes once again for no gain whatsoever. Back in the 1950s, when Americans were adopting Korean War orphans, we had a pic of an oriental-appearing six year old at our house. Visitors would typically ask my mom who adopted the Korean kid? That used to piss mom off. The pic was of one of my cousins, whose mom was half Seneca, half white.

Whites and (feather) indians are the only two racial groups that I know of with a history/predisposition for adoption of children unrelated to themselves. And the (feather) indians have not really been in a position to practice much adoption since the late 1800s. The eastern tribes adopted heap many runaway white slaves and indentures from the late 1500s until they were wiped out and/or relocated. They adopted so many whites that many of the eastern tribes bounced back from being ravaged by disease. Look at a lot of the i-wuz-there contemporaneous artwork and many of the indians look nearly euro.

Seemed like buckethead/ Chinese kids were all the rave 5 to 10 + years ago. A Major I worked with and his wife ( good christain folk) from one of the Dakota,s . Flew back and forth to china to get one. Always taking leave over a perod of 16 to 18 months to go shopping for one.. And I had to pick up his classes and admin work load everytime they went. When they came back with the bouncy toddler buckethead and naturally had to show off their new status symbol to one and all.
