I assume this was not for meat? Can you eat them? I honestly don't know.
I'm disappointed- - - -I thought there would be a picture of the Texas Aggies' cheerleading squad!

What does one do with multiple trailer loads of dead hogs?

I think there is a company that comes out a hauls most of the dead feeder pigs to a rendering facility here. Valley Protein?
There is a makeup company, I think Revlon that buys a lot of the product produced.

Good job Hanco, but I gotta ask how does a load of hogs smells like on a warm texas day?

You been busy hanco!

100,000 hunters shooting that many pigs, each, in one day, would not make a dent in the state's population of feral swine.
Posted By: tndrbstr Re: Trailer load of pigs - 09/28/20
That is pretty good haul for sure! Good work

I have shot about 15 wild hogs in Georgia, in the Oconee River Swamp. And ate every one of them, and they were delicious. I did this over the course of five years.
Never shot 15 in one day.

Some people eat them. My son does. Even a rank old boar.

I don't. If I needed the meat to feed people, I would. Selectively.

But frankly I'm not there yet. But the good news is, nothing goes to waste here. Everything gets eaten. By something... wink

100,000 X 20 = 2 million. Would make a sizable dent (or crash) in the Texas hog population. Would probably take a year to rebuild.

Maybe.

It wouldn't stagger them for long.

But it's a good start.

The man who invents a hog poison that can be broadcast safely without harming livestock or wildlife will be a rich man indeed.

Excellent work Charlie Chan. , if you look at Hanco’s posting, it’s shows a reshared posting of a cellphone screen shot of someone named Scott.

YES. Any orphanage but they’ll need to be processed first.
Posted By: sniperhunter Re: Trailer load of pigs - 09/29/20
Now that's a lot, Where are you hunting ?
Posted By: hanco Re: Trailer load of pigs - 09/29/20
My son in law sent me those pics, probably out of a chopper. Most I’ve ever gotten is 30 in a weekend. Got 16 altogether a couple of weekends ago.

About 10 years ago a chopper friend, hired us to help clean up a ranch on the Rio Grande River, 5000 acres, hadn't been lived or hunted on for a long time, tied up in a bank repo, , with 2 choppers 2 shooters, and 4 pickups and flat beds, working from day light till dark we killed and picked up 348 pigs in 2 day's. i don't know how many we killed that didn't get picked up?

By the evening of the second day we had pushed them to the river, and it looked like rats leaving a sinking ship, they were swimming to Mexico, Rio7
