Enough of this hiding behind covid crap from online vendors. About half of them have removed their phone numbers from everywhere, even Yelp!

You don't have a phone# I can call about a problem, you don't get any money from me. Period.

Buying a gun. Sent FFL twice with my name, order number in subject line, as directed.

"We have not received email with FFL information".
I’m guessing that if they “claim” , hardship, reduced personnel, employees are afraid to work, etc, they get Federal money.

Similar the employees getting more money sitting home then working, only on the business side.

Some companies, for sure, have felt the effects of the Democrat led COVID mandated shutdowns. But I'm pretty sure many others have used it as an excuse to reduce service levels.
Even before the vid, more and more companies are steering folks away from the phone. It seems half the vendors I deal with don’t list phone #’s on their websites anymore.

Interesting, I ordered a predator hunting light from All Predator Calls last week. It arrived in four days. Have bought several things from Midway USA recently, similar experience.
There’s lots of good companies out there.

This is very true. I also notice that many ads in magazines no longer tell where the advertiser is located.

I've seen colof ads intop grade publications for things like hunting lodges that don't even list the loaction (state etc.) of the place.

I'm with you on this. I am so sick of not being able to deal with real people that actually do have some skin in the game with the business itself. Something I noticed in getting a new website made for my own business was in the first draft of it that sent me. My phone number was not on home page. Now after having to explain to the guy that I'm old fashioned and want it plastered everywhere and answer my own phone it's on every page at the very top.

The have a 1-800 number you can call, and a person will answer. That was his point.
Not being able to take calls is likely an excuse. Currently, I work from the office about 50% of the time and work from home the other 50% of the time. I can take phone calls to my work phone extension at home and my customers don't know the difference. Most companies bigger than a mom and pop store with less than 20 employees can do something similar. About 50% of my job is hands on or field work. But most of our employees that are mostly desk workers, taking calls, working on documents and spreadsheets etc, all work from home right now.

Good for you, Jim. Ours is plastered on every page of our website, too.
There are myriad issues within the supply chain.availa, price, service......

There are two things creating problems:
1. Looting, rioting, and civil disobedience on a grand scale is causing a terrific run on guns and ammo and related items. Even reloading equipment is hard to find.

2. The covid excuse for not having parts on hand for repairs is getting over used. (John Deer has seen the last of me because of this). I ordered a new mower deck from them a month ago and can't even get a return phone call with the status of the order. Totally inexcusable!
Publishing a business phone number requires a call center to answer the calls. Call centers require people. People require $$$'s...

If you think for profit businesses are bad, try government agencies. My wife filed for unemployment the first week of April. She called the KY unemployment office to file a claim. She was 88th in line. "26 minute hold time". After an hour, she was still 80 something in line. Hang up. File for unemployment online. O.K. two weeks later, no response. Call the number again. (here's the gotcha...) Now that they have our home and cell phone in their system, when she calls, the pre-recorded computer message says, "We are still working on your claim. Please be patient. We will call you in the near future. <click>" Even with a phone number, no way to get in touch with a real person. And what do the bureaucrats in Frankfort say? "Sorry, we are overwhelmed by Covid..." But, somehow, they are STILL getting paid even though no one else they are screwing over gets paid...

Six months later, still zero response from the KY State Unemployment Insurance group...

I placed an order for a new Dillon XL750 with most of the bells and whistles a couple weeks ago OVER THE PHONE.

Yes. Pieces are trickling in because of pressure on supply.

BUT, THEY STILL ANSWER THE PHONE OR CALL YOU BACK.

I hear you, gunner. I read Midway the riot act about not answering their phones. Now they're answering their phones again.

Will wonders never cease.

Funny sidebar: They didn't waste any time getting right back to me about curse words in my email. Lol.
You guys are funny...

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF THE COLLAPSE THAT THE LEFT WANTS.

More this than anything. The gov't here is using that drill as well to cut back. Couldn't get anything done here in Canada while all the gov't employees were at the cottage this summer "working" remotely.
On the other hand, Meister filled my bullet order quickly and sent it USPS Priority mail. It arrived in 3 days.
