The absentee ballots are running 50/50 republican / trump and everyone else. The MN republican party directed me to the county polling place where I'm registered at the city polling place. Implementing the change is what will be insurmountable, unless Conservatives undertake and engage in an all out effort to effect these changes over the next several generations. These Marxists must be purged, especially from academia and the US Department of Education so that future Americans can carry on with the fight against evil and tyranny. Their subversive behavior is nothing short of treason, for they are actively engaging in behavior to designed to overthrow our government and they must be treated and prosecuted as the treasonous basterds that they are.

America needs to rethink these idiotic diversity initiatives as well. Without going into too much detail, these diversity ambitions the Marxists have for America, which has been shoved down our throats for decades now, must be reversed. You simply do not see these issues in homogeneous cultures. Bringing radical muslims, and mexicans who hate America, wholesale into our country has done us no favors, but it's all part of the Marxist plan to divide our population into more and more classes of victim groups, to then make them as vocal and as radical as possible, thereby creating chaos; the very type of chaos we are seeing in America today. The hope is that Americans will then to cry out to the government for help. Americans need to wake up and see what is right before their eyes. Sadly, most Americans today are too ignorant, too apathetic and too bereft of critical thinking skills to see, let alone believe, what is all out in the open.

Yellow Journalism, fake news and the outright lies disseminated by the MSM and the Tech Giants (the so called Masters of the Universe) must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, whenever and wherever their subversive behavior is identified. Hitting them where it hurts - their bottom line - is likely one of only a few methods to effect these changes. The Council on Foreign Relations, who control the media in America and the 6-8 ruling families of virtually all American media must be broken-up and prosecuted for fraud, libel, propaganda and obstruction, under existing Monopoly and Racketeering laws. These organizations and companies are engaging in fraud, pure and simple. The only way to effect change is to break them up and prosecute the owners, dishonest journalists and to scuttle their organizations. Frankly, I am not sure why America has been so very apathetic regarding these issues - probably because it's all one great counterplot against the American people and our freedoms.

I worked out of IBEW 369 for twenty years, for the last 18 years I have worked out of IBEW 2100. It's been a good life for me and my family and has prepared me for retirement in about three years. We start a new 4 year contract 11/01/20. With the new agreement I will be making $44.34/hr and pick up another week vacation and 1 more personal day. That will be 6 paid weeks off. It looks like with 2 months left in the year, I should be on track for another $120K gross W2 again. I checked my retirement fund after the 3.66% drop in market values yesterday and it is still up to $1.21 million with 16.8% growth for the year in my account. If Trump gets reelected and the market settles after a Covid vaccine, I hope the days of 20% growth returns for the next 3 years. This should net me close to $2 million in my retirement account when I retire in 3 years. Not bad for "stupid". How's your retirement looking? I won't be on here talking about moving South to get away from your own kind, I already live here. When you do retire, you need to take your wife's advice and move to Florida and be with the other snowbirds and your own kind. You simply won't fit in anywhere else. To be honest, there's many days I wished I had went the non-Union path at half the salary and tried to rely on Social Security for retirement like so many others and just took time to enjoy the good life. As far as a skilled construction union protecting the lazy workers, I've had many of the contractors I've work for tell me and everyone else " The day you aren't making me any money, is the day I don't need you anymore" and back to the bench they would go. I never got sent back to the bench for lack of working, just lack of work between jobs.

If a young man or woman doesn't feel college is their answer, working at Walmart or McDonalds doesn't appeal to them and they haven't the backing and corporate savvy to conquer the business world on their own, the skilled construction trades are still a viable option. If they chose to pursue the Union route, they will be paid to complete the apprenticeship program as long as they keep their grades up and show up to work everyday. After that, a living is there to be made as long as they want to work for it. I think very few here actually understand how a hiring skilled trade union actually works. I used to bid projects from large to small. Many if these projects were home improvement or new home construction.

I always knew if the home owner was Union or not. When I would put together an estimate for a Union Hypocrite, I would always give them two options.

I Would offer them both options, a Union scale and Union member crew, or a scab non-Union crew.

Not once in all my years did a Union member select the Union based crew and pay The higher rate. Not once. Many of them said, F that I don’t want those hacks working on my schit.

Yet these hypocrites are the first to grab a sign and picket one my non-union projects , calling us scabs and taking away their right to work, while their own project was done by scabs.

I believe every word of that. I've never seen a small time estimator who wouldn't kiss a potential customers ass to get a job, much less approach them with an attitude. Nice try. We basically contracted all our services out. With the exception of Ford and UPS, most of our customers were non Union companies. They hired us over the non Union bidders for one reason, Quality of work and on time delivery. If there was work to be had, we had it.

What we have here is a classic case of projection.
We have a so called conservative that paid a Marxist/collectivist thug gang (union) to do his bidding with the owner of the company he works for and then he brags about how great of an accomplishment he made. All the while his dues are used by said Marxist/collectivist gang to undermine the very liberty that enable productive hard working entrepreneurs to build something he benefits from.
Then he brags what a great investor he is and how he is a millionaire! he even projected before it's over he will be a multimillionaire!!!

You believe our scale is trivial compared your scale, can I ask what your average wage you pay your employees and benefits, did you apply for the PPP program loan? I find over and over when entrepreneurs such as yourself get so easily offended by Union pay scale, it is because they fear their employees will find out how much we make and wonder why their employer hired us instead of a non Union contractor. Yes , we can get fired. Fail a drug test or simply not make the contractor any money, he'll send you home, no recourse- nor should there be. Again most people posting here have absolutely no idea how a skilled hiring trade union works. Do your employees feel bad when you post here about how successful you are? I don't have any control how all the due money is spent, do you have any control on how all your tax money you pay in is spent? Any body can apply for instatement to a trade union. They will have to be interviewed, if selected attend the apprenticeship program and keep their grades up, show up to work and perform as expected by their foreman. In five years they will top out in pay if they stay with the program. If someone is earning considerably less with no appreciable benefits, why wouldn't they apply? If you don't mind working for a living, we could probably find a place for you if you'll stay the course. Do you feel bad about your employees not making what you make at the end of the day? If you have any questions, I will honestly try to get answers for you on here or by PM if you so should choose. I never get tired trying to help someone get a step up in life if they choose to do so, but don't really lose any sleep if they don't.

After listening to people continuously bash the conservative, Republican union members that also frequent this board, I sometimes tire of it and don't really mind explaining what belonging to a trade union has provided for me and my family compared to what others would like to infer without any real knowledge on the subject. Belief me , it builds after a while. You seem a level headed, hard working individual in your posts. I get it you work for yourself and like to deal with rental properties, but if you had chosen to be an electrician for a living for what ever reason, would you chose to work for $18-$20/hr with little or no benefits or work for double that plus retirement and benefits if you had the choice? No bravo or parroted anti- Union reply please, just your honest answer from an honest man?

To be completely honest, I would have worked for whoever I needed to until I got comfortable enough with my own knowledge of the trade / business to start my own company.

Once you figure out that working for the man is not the way to get ahead in life, everything else seems to fall in place. You just have to teach your mind to think in that context and be willing to work hard enough to make things happen for yourself.

I understand your view as I said earlier. Working in trade labor is a lot like being an independent contractor. Scale is set along with benefits, but you are more or less your own employer in some ways. Not guaranteed a job, your responsibility to find your work and keep it. I feel a lot of people here would rather work at a higher rate and benefit if they had the opportunity and would admit it. If it wasn't for the sheep like us, the big time shepherds would be without a flock I guess. Got to have Movers and Shakers as someone posted earlier.

I am of the same mindset as Local Dirt. I believe if you don't like your payscale/work conditions etc.... you start your own business maybe even compete with your ex employer!
I have very few employees, I make my money with positive cash flow real estate, the property makes the money. I will not disclose my business or income here as people have attempted to dox me and harm me here.
Luckily I am very insulated from vulnerability in this regard.
I can say once you have the mindset of an investor as to compared to a wage earner you will see things different. I wise man once said wealthy people don't work for money.
Truth is as I told you I am a simple man, I am not an executive, don't own a large corporation etc.... I am incorporated though.
I spent most of my life working in the "trades" at just above the poverty level.
I hated my work, it was dirty and hard. Finally one day I said enough, I was 41 yrs old and had just lost everything in a divorce.
I lived in a travel trailer for seven years ,several of those years in the dirt lot behind the shop where I worked and saved 90% percent of my paycheck for seed money. I started investing and never looked back. I retired from day to day work at 50 yrs old, I am now 59.
You asked about my W-2 earlier, my W2 reflects 1 hr a month labor so they are irrelevant, I get K-1's instead .
You are off base on most of your assumptions, union pay scale means nothing to me.... the fact that unions are based in Marxist/collectivism does bother me. I believe in rugged individualism.
Fight your own battles , stand on your own two feet, not be beholden to any man! I believe these principles built this country and they are all under assault.

I feel good about my retirement in about three years, how's yours looking? The trade just provided the opportunity, I had to look out for myself, which I did. You need to work on that anger issue. or get a better job. It is said finances are the main problem in most peoples own private world these days.

I apologize for the snappy reply, my bad. Glad you are enjoying your retirement, sounds like you worked hard for it. If everyone contributed to a 401K as soon as they had a chance, it would amaze what it accumulates to over the years. I am up to 25% contribution of my pay now. I'm in what they allow as "Catch Up Years". I think it was $25K last year. I'm not sure this year, Payroll just cuts it off when it is reached. I learn to live frugal as possible and max out each year. Again, glad you made retirement and are enjoying it. I went to a funeral of a guy I worked with who died at 57 years old today. Had a heart attack at work, died on operating table as they were putting stents in. We never truly know our own fate. Sometimes , if not most times, I'm guilty of typing before I think.

At the fate of raising someone's dandruff, I'm an Electrician. My pay is $43.05/hr. as of today. We are starting a new contract 11/1/20 at a 3% increase. I think that would be $44.34/hr. I did type it in an angry response and don't mind you asking. To be honest, I've been married for 10 years to my second wife and I have never told her exactly what I make. Sometimes I feel like I have to apologize for my salary, but I get over it pretty quick come every other Friday. I'm an IBEW Electrician and would highly recommend it to any young man searching for his place in this world to make a living. I haven't been on IBEW website for ever, but it may even state the contract specifics, it has in the past. I have a Master Electrical License in KY and keep it up with continued education classes and carry a Journeyman/Wireman card.

That's not only a good view of life in general, but probably ought to be someone's tag line. I would consider on stealing it if it didn't make you mad.
