Years ago I heard that in Ireland Budwiser was brewed by Guinness and that it was better.

With ImBev now owning The King of Beers...
Is the new Nitro Budwiser that Irish Budweiser?
Or just a premium pricing gimmick?

Apparently not, as hanco says he likes carbonated water. More's the pity, and I feel sorry for him if that's all he can tolerate.

Have not tried Nitro Bud (sounds like some weird LGBT thing, does it not?) because I have Leinie Summer Shandy, Sam Adams Octoberfest, and Shiner Bock on hand. Any of which put Bud in the shade.

We just have different options down here... Like Shiner Bock..

I can't remember the last time I had a beer. I do remember the one and only time I had an IPA, make that six, when 'flave dropped by with me buying a sixer and him bringing one...

Tried the Nitro a while back. Not impressed. Seemed to have no flavor at all. Not bad, just none! I like regular Budweiser and this was not that.

i could do that and not get drunk.but i would start in the morning.

I'm a fan of Bud heavy. When I was in Prague in '90, I learned the original real Budweiser is brewed there. it's good.

Last week on the fishing trip I could’ve obliged. Won’t be doing that again for a looooong time (next year fishing trip)

While I'd never advocate drinking any Budweiser product,a funnel will allow one to get enough of their drek into ones body to catch a decent buzz. Someday A-B will package this device as the Bud Buddy in every case they sell.

It's brewed in České Budějovice about 80 miles south of Prague. Our U.S. budweiser was named after it by Adolphus Busch. They've been in a copyright fight over the Budweiser name for a long time, as a result the original Czech Budweiser has to be sold as "Budvar" in the U.S. and the U.S. Budweiser has to be sold as "Bud" in europe.

The Czech Budweiser is many miles better than our pisswater.

Some years back, i wanted to know what was in budweiser, so i sent a samp,e off to a testing lab.

About a week later, I got the result report in the mail.

I always thought the idea behind nitro was to bring out the more subtle flavors.

If you have had both carbonated bottle Guinness and pub can Guinness you know that they are vastly different.

I can't imagine trying to tone down the flavor of bud.
The aftertaste yes.
