I would have to say any one of you struggling to feed the family , nurture your children and put them through school during this current madness in our country. My own badassery( maybe when I was younger) and struggles today, pale in comparison to most all of you providers out there! The only encumbrance I have is my pea brain!

That guy was not a member but joined up just to give his side of the story because there was a large thread discussing it. After that I don't believe he ever came back. A refresher for anyone who doesn't remember. Pervy preacher keeps seducing married women in his congregation, starts seducing blue air hose guy's wife. Blue air hose guy pays him a visit and gives him a good whipping with a blue air hose. Blue air hose guy gets arrested, don't know what happened after that. That thread was epic!

An Ellisville man has been arrested on aggravated assault charges for beating his former pastor with an air hose in the church parking lot just before Bible study Wednesday night. The suspect refused to turn himself in without the local media being present. Seven on your Side's Ontario Richardson was granted an exclusive interview with the man who laid hands on the pastor just before worship. Michael Clark admits to assaulting pastor Steve Nixon of Calvary Baptist Church. Clark accused the preacher of text messaging Clark's wife. Clark said Nixon has sent what he called "inappropriate text messages" to other parisoners' wives as well, and he wanted to stop any communications before it got out of hand. "I was not going to take the chance of letting that happen to me and my family," said Clark. "My wife called me about 3:30, 4 o'clock, after she got out of school and tells me the preacher from Calvary has texted her, and told me what the text message said -'Call me when you get a chance.'" Clark said his family left the church earlier this year. "My family and I have been gone from Calvary for about 3 months; therefore he had no reasons to text my wife. I pull up and I meet the pastor face to face, and I start whipping him with an air hose." Clark added, "That not Christ-like. I told him that he should not be text messaging my wife. He didn't have a chance to say much; I worked on him with a air hose." Following the interview, Clark went straight to the Ellisville Police Department and turned himself in. Seven on your Side was told Nixon suffered several bruises from the attack. We spoke with Nixon by phone Thursday, and he admitted to text messaging Clark's wife. He refused an on-camera interview but added, "As pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, there have been false accusations against me. I will continue to give God the glory. Calvary is where Christ makes the difference." Clark was released from jail Thrusday afternoon on $10,000 dollars bond. Also arrested were two of Clark's accomplices, Paul Graves and James Walters, both of whom are charged with the disturbance of worship.
Was that Gunner500 who threated to give a guy a mouth full of "chicklets" ?
Yes
At loretta lynn’s
Hey, I got invited to Loretta's once !
Can't remember who the jackass was ?
Ol' Loretta could whoop some azz in her day!
gunner knocked the teeth out of Arkansas st black college football player's mouth for disrespecting his wife at a gas station.
Family legend has it my Granddad knocked some drunk out for cussing around the womenfolk in his store circa 1930s. Almost 100% sure the drunk was white because the black folks probably had their own stores in those days in this part of the world.
Men used to respect decent women because not only were they raised that way but other men demanded it.
For me, a toss up between the hardcore lumberjacks
Big schtick vs Sampson Olson
Both from up north and neither camera shy in the least.
The schtick easily wields a rocket fueled 6' chain saw thru 8 foot diameter firs using minimal cuts and pin point accuracy for landings......and quite a way with words.
The olsonator doesn't use a saw at all, just a full body slam or two, then a yanks the remains out with his bare hands and puts it down wherever he wants.
So, i guess if we're in a bar during an unhappy moment among southern Baptist preachers and there isn't a chainsaw handy......I guess Mr Olson would be drinking on my nickel.
Michael Clark A Jones County Grand Jury has refused to indict a man for beating an Ellisville preacher with an air hose.
Michael Clark admitted to attacking pastor Steve Nixon of Calvary Baptist Church in August after Clark's wife received a text message from the preacher.
Earlier this month, Nixon resigned from his church saying the drama and publicity surrounding the case has been too much for his family. District Attorney Tony Buckley said he talked to Nixon Tuesday night to see if he wanted to pursue charges, and Nixon said yes.
The case was presented to the grand jury today (Wednesday). According to Buckley, the jury came back with a no bill - meaning it refused to issue an indictment.
The Clark's had not attended Calvary for several months, and Nixon said the text message was sent out by mistake.
Clark was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault after turning himself in. A few weeks after the attack, Clark publicly apologized to Nixon, who accepted.
I did that when I was 10......moral of the story.....be careful with a fart you may think will ease out smoothly while sitting on a wooden pew.....no pun intended
too old for that stuff now, been hurt to many times, I'd go with gunner, anyonr know someone else who took a 38 to the chest and walked away.
stxhunter; Good afternoon to you my cyber friend, I hope the weather's nice down in your part of the world and all that matter to you are well.
While I hope I'm not stepping onto Gunner's bad side, as he did post it publically I'll just expand a wee bit on what you've noted. He was good enough to exchange some PM's with me back in the day and mentioned it as well.
Somehow Gunner ended up confronting a felon who pulled a revolver on him - the .38 as you've mentioned - and in fact shot him with it, I want to say more than once, but that detail is lost.
Gunner responded by taking said revolver away from the miscreant and beat him soundly with it.
While there's many definitions of "tough" to be sure - physical, mental or even spiritual I suppose - that alone makes me both wince and shake my head in wonderment when I think about it.
In my wilder, younger days Roger, I would have spotted you for someone I should do more listening than talking to - I was quite gifted that way somehow - some of it by natural means and then some by learning the hard way!
Lastly, while I'm not sure he's still involved in that activity, I PM'd a member here back in the day who'd seen JCMCUBIC fight and was most suitably impressed, so he's certainly in the running.
Honestly at my age now, if I can feed the cat without injuring myself I consider it a success!
All the best to you all down on the Texas coast this Christmas Season Roger.
There are many definitions of tough.... 1) Toughest in a fight- MMA vs. Streetfighting vs Big Hoss.(You notice that not a single one of those fellas of the three different categories jumped in.) 2) Toughest for dealing with conditions. There are some on Backpack Hunting Forum that nearly do a marathon a day. In my view this is tough as hell. 3) American Man- Dealing with shrew of wife, bad job, bad boss, lack of hunting opportunity but making the best of life. This is where in my view the toughest people are. You get old, you get slower, you lose your strength but if you look up and never give up, never give up on your country, never give up on Jesus, never give in on life. You hold your head up in the face of the chitbirds and p%ss standing up- Then my friend you are one tough S() of a B&^^tch!

I should note that our Canadian Brothers who still remain Men are as tougher or even tougher than us because they have many that call themselves men that now pee sitting down. They also have women who are pretty tough as we do. The sad thing is that we are getting more and more confronted with snowflakes from both sides of the border.

Anybody besides Rene actually shown up to whoop someone’s azz?
There was a member on here years ago, maybe 10, give or take, that supposedly made a cross country trip to confront one of our frequent trolls. He stopped at several locations along the way trying to find him. The thread was multiple pages long and very well written in real time fashion. In fact, it was so well written that I was unable to determine if he really was doing it, or just made it seem like he was doing it, but he had a lot of detail in what he was seeing.
And shoot100 arrows a day across the double wide, shoot a 5 gallon bucket of 22’s a year and still had time to mountain bike vertical faces and give fly fishing lessons.
Didn’t he guide you and Gruff to a bear?
Or did he puke in your truck?

Toughest bro I've ever known was my friend, Randy Shughart RIP, MOH! Half my size and could throw me a mile. If he was still here and on this site, some of you would have your work cut out for ya!

His balls were too big to sustain too long of a fist fight. I mean he might have stomped on one of them just during the foot movement! Bad ass Dude for sure.
He and Gordy...absolutely the best. Never forgotten. Glad you knew him.
I must have missed it. Did he whup some fire member's arse or did he do it on the internet?
Gunner is a very good friend, and he gets my vote. If you know him at all, the joke ( though true...) is that you shouldn't shoot Gunner, it only pisses him off....
My vote goes to my war buddy and friend Jim Martin AKA " Evil Twin" who with his platoon kept the NVA busy via close quarters engagement even with their dwindling mags and frags which bought us some time to get in real tight for our close air support gun runs...25 Jan 1970 Hill 474 Binh Dinh Province.

Woody, good to see you on for a change... its been a while...
anyone who has heard you two, or either one talk about that night....
No question about that.... Jim is definitely one Tough Son of a Gun....
We've got other combat vets who have been in scenarios like that night, in Iraq or Afghanistan...on here...
They might be as tough as Jim, but certainly none of them would surpass Jim...
God Bless him and you also my friend...
Hope this finds you and your lovely wife doing well...

Gunner is good people , had the pleasure of making his acquaintance myself
IIRC I believe the occasion Gunner got shot he was driving by an altercation wherein a man was beating up a woman and stopped to intervene, he did so, successfully, despite getting shot.
‘Nother notably tough guy around here is Leighton, only ‘Fire member I’m aware of who has beaten up three Tokyo punks in one go.

The funny part was where Leighton recounts how he blew a kiss to one of the beat up Yakuza guys later on when they was all in the police station, said Yakuza guy wigged out, and got beat up all over again by the Cops.

Sitkadeer isn't tiny like the small in stature coastal blacktail deer that he is named after. I was thinking about it. Not in a nice way. Paddler's Alimentary canal is probably tougher than any one person one here. I am, from what I figure, a truly secondary character in the scheme of things on this forum, and I have figuratively put my booted foot up his arse many times. Deflave, Sam Olsen, Gunner500, Stxhunter and most of you have done so thousands of times. Yet he always comes back like a skunk leading with his skank azz.
