Snow's a-comin'

Our inversion yuck has disappeared with a light wind, the air feels and smells of snow, and it's 28 degrees with clouds moving in from the northwest. I think we might finally be on the verge of a winter pattern here. We're in a state of "exceptional" drought here with precip way, way below normal. I've had my snow blower prepped since the first of October, so I'm ready.
I bought a snowblower this year. Guaranteed we don't see a flake now.
It's brown here and I hope it stays that way.
Phil Collins sucks.
Thought you might be throwing down some Lt. Col. William “Bill” Kilgore, “...smells like Victory!”

UR inversion has even drifted SE of Podunk

Look at the layer of gunk in front of the Henry's (12-8)

Snow will be a welcome & needed change......

Drifting in across the central Manti right now

pic 2 is this morning

Cus did some deep schit to that guy's brain. LOL
High of 61 today here and sunny. Tomorrow cold comes in and I doubt it leaves.

I'm going to blow off work this afternoon and do some yard work.

rented a plate compactor yesterday to make a spot for my boat this winter, so hopefully by the end of today I'll have all the outdoor work done
Rain changing to snow in the forecast here, 2 to 6" of snow overnight depending on the weather model.

We don't have the solid white clouds that say snow but it's warmer (24F) and very still and quiet. The inversion didn't quite make it to the north end of the valley but Logan has had a layer of crud for several days. I did bring the snow-blower from the barn to the back patio before halloween and distributed shovels around the place. I wonder if Mantua is frozen?
Mantua is indeed frozen, with 5" of clear over most of the lake - except for those dangerous spring spots, some of which are still open water. One guy caught 40 perch to 12" yesterday.

Excellent, I'll see what my SIL & grandson are up to.
A little drizzle this morning now clearing to a high of 72. About to eat a Mexican breakfast on my way to the range.
It's been getting down in the mid teens every night for a couple weeks here in so. Idaho. Saturday night we were in the hills south of us at about 2500' higher for a Trail Life campout. It was at least 10 degrees warmer at night and a little warmer during the day. It's been very clear here but something is holding the cold air down.
It's called inversion, RC.

Great insurance. When I first bought mine we had two mild winters in a row, and the thing sat in the garage.
The feeling was right. Snowing now with those big soft dime-sized flakes. Sticking, too.
No snow, rain comin.
My head is kinda foggy.
Up n down, messes me up.
Wish it'd stay constant for some period.
Drizzle here. Temp in 60’s
Send it south Rocky, we need it bad here in the south end of salt lake valley
Tomorrow, I think, cg. For once, my amateur forecasting skills mesh with the pros. I think Ogden will get more lake effect than you guys down there will, the flow being more from the west than northwest, but I do think we'll all get at least some.
Tonight for us they say.

I'll believe it when I see flakes.

We need it badly too.
We're way ahead of you. The sidewalk and the driveway have "that feel" here, a few inches and counting.
Same ol’ chitt here in Floriduh.

Utah has four seasons: Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Florida has two: Day and Night.
If anyone has been paying attention, you might have noticed that you haven't heard me whine about the weather in quite some time.

Beautiful November and December.

I am afraid we are in for a nasty spell in late December, January, February.
