Step1..... Eat da chyt outta a couple of cookies, some fudge, and a peice of corn bread. So I can fuel up to run deer down unmercifully to slumlord the cruel.
Im in the spare bedroom. Some chit almost fell on me.
Tech tip. Always leave your magazine on the console in the truck. Or on the passenger seat. Or in the console, in your hunting coat in the back seat.... somewhere. But its a fairly small space to search can't go wrong. For a fail safe get a spare mag and leave it some where.
Those poor Tennessee deer. Chased and harassed all over kingdom come until they stagger around with their tongues hanging out just waiting to get shot.

Advice is often worth what it costs you. So in the spirit of the giving holiday season stop by ACE hdwe and pick up 12" of brass toilet tank chain. Pop rivet one end of it to the bottom of the mag, use a wood screw and attach the other end to the stock. If it falls out no big deal it will right there just a dangling and you won't forget where you put it. Problem solved are we good? No need to email your address for the consulting fee , this time it's free you might called it an early x-mas present. Pretty white of me huh? Mb
You doon need no stinkin magazine. (Unless you forget the toilet paper per above post).
Single shots work good. To shoot with, not to - oh, never mind.
I hunted 2 years with a 725 with broken extractor, killed 2 caribou with it on succesive days (them elks 1st year wuz too smart to get shot with a broken gun - shooder asked elky, I guess).
Then I installed a 700 extractor which works fine, after being told by several people it couldn't be done. Kilt a caribou with it last fall. Didn't even have to hold the gun muzzle up and shake the heck out of it....
Did have to build the staking tool to install that "wrong part", when I couldn't find that....
Pic dont show depth or distance for crap. Gonna work this ridge east staying 1/2 way up for about 400nyds Hit east boundary. Work to slumord about 800 yds south Staying 1/3 way up from creek bottom Working the east slope draws and spurs
Love ta kill a fughing buck today. Or push one to slumlord.
I can hear the “sheetrock train” it’s so quiet this afternoon. Pretty cool, it’s 12 nautical mi away.
Sheetrock here is made by Temple, they harvest it from the TVA fossil plant. Our Flue Gas Desulfurization retrofit uses lime and precipitators to knock the SO2 down, that makes calcium sulfate and then they get that goo and make drywall out of it. Yummy
If any of resident coxsucker chemists or beekeepers want to step in slap me with a 2-1/2” 70 year old limpdick, feel free to correct me on minuscule detail I excluded or got wrong. Because you were so important making wax for Dixie Cup corporation, LOL
Starting towards slumlord He knows where Im at via pics. East slope of ridges, east slope flats, draw. Creek to my left about 80 90 yd Rest of slopes go up for about 300 to 350 yds in places Hardwoods cover 2/3rds of slope Top mixed soft and hardwood.
[quote=renegade50]Slumlord is waiting on a shot. I bumped one to him Im sitting not moving. Cutting off the northern area Heis south of me about 150yds
He has had eyes on the buck for about 15 20 mins. Says it has tall tines It is in creek bottom sapling schitt.
You need to chase that deer around some more, tire him out.[/quote
Engaged a very nice 8 will tall tines for 35 mins straight. Super thick hardwoods all could see was his rack. Would not budge. Thats just the way it goes.
Got ren to clap hands from 200 away over the hill. Wouldnt budge him. Just kept him locked up behind the perfect alignment of big timber. Tried a push move and he bolted like lighting. No shot.

Im frazzled. lol
Pretty sure that story has been told hundreds of times over the years .. beer and cards were usually part of the atomsphere.
May see him again those slick tops might be your new best friends
We have not see this buck before. Seen a lot of this year. Even nephews trail cams, nadda. This guy been hiding or he’s new to the place.
Should be one of two things, you got a hot doe in that bunch or he's building back strength from the main rut chowing like Rene at the Saturday night buffet at CiCis. Hope he sticks around. Free advice from 3000 miles away. LOL

Yep.... Thats what I was telling slumlord. Little fella was pretty discouraged. I told him plenty of does in that spot. We just had a encounter with him Confirmed a mature buck has satellited in.
Buck wins 1st rd.
Others he might be around a doe that will lead him to his demise.

Been there done that a few times you know its a fuggn dandy but you can't quite get a clear angle for love or money. One of the times I live for and at the same time absolutely fuqking hate! hahahha I think I've had my as kicked like this at least twice, no shot. You guys are still in the game. Fo sho!
He looked a lot like this one, I killed 6 yrs ago here same place near wounded worrier’s bow stand. And yes I meant worrier. Fuggin fake putz. Anyway
Today’s was an 8 though. All his pointy things were intact too. Pencil thin and bone white. Only I could see any movement is when that rack moved around.
I really glad to know at least we still have a late season buck in here. All the Fudds have blown their wad and are at red lobster or eating bon bons.
The house lady is making hen and dressing for Thurs Make it up, chill in the commercial fridge. several tins off it for big family holiday hoodle doins.
I thought when you stepped out he’d hop the creek and pause and check his six. He veered toward that thick brush at mach 1 kept going.
He played that game before no doubt
He knew when i intially bumped him something was up and probably still behind. Their were beds on that slope when I went across it ,I thought heard footfalls and bounding from it. just wasnt up on the flat to see.
Oh well .... He is using O2 still. Might be a day when he aint no more soon.
Weather supposed to be poo poo for Nephew Numbnut and Co. over the holiday break. lol
Awwwww. Their only days to hunt ruined by rain.
If we can time one of these still hunt/ deer push for right after a rain during the day and the wind is good . We need to do it. Woods quiet moving . Deer be up and about wanting to dry and warm up.
