J,

I know you’re about ready to retire from the military. What’s your next move?

Learn how to drink properly at 8AM?

Build AR’s?

Watch and rate the best porn on-line?

Start a blog on how to cook Alaskan game animals naked?

Become a stripper?

Move in with Flavor and be his housekeeper?

In all seriousness...Congrats and thank you for serving us and our country all those years.

😎🦫
2 more days my time in the U.S Army will come to an end..

Yes mine is signed by President Donald J. Trump

Congrats. I ended my first enlistment at Ft. Richardson in 1976. President Ford apparently forgot my thank you letter.

Soldiers who ets don’t get a retirement certificate from the President.. I did 22yrs 5months 2days.
Congratulations on your retirement and many thanks for your years of service to our country.

I hope that retirement is everything you had hoped it’d be and more.
Congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy retirement

Congrats 79..... we should get together and go to Beavs house and drink all his hi dollar booze..... smile
Well done!
When I joined back in 1998 I did 3 year contract. My intentions at the time were not to stay in after 3 years. It didn’t help my first duty assignment was Ft Lewis.. 5 hours from where I grew up. I joined to see the world not the Pacific Northwest. Along the way I got promoted relatively quick at that time in the Army. Decided Army wasn’t that bad of a gig, re-enlisted for duty assignment of choice and the rest is history..

Come on down and over...We’ll get a serious case of alcohol poisoning, eat awesome food, shoot long guns, and solve our country’s problems.

Should take only 3-4 days.

😎🦫
Congrats!
He's headed back to da rez.....big pimpin.
Congrats John, and thank you for your service. 👍

I am jealous. My certificate was signed by Nobama. It went from the envelope to the shredder. No regrets either.

Welcome to the check-a-month club.

President-signed papers are cool.

I have a friend whose homesite patent was signed by Nixon. All his proving up and paperwork had been done, but they put a hold on everything until ANILCA was finished. Sen Gravel (D), took his and a couple dozen other like cases on and Nixon signed off on them, instead of whatever Gov agency was involved/on hold- in his case USFS.
79, Thanks for your 2 decades of service...

Don't be so modest,

Give us a few details , a few stories.....

Where ya all been, what did you all do?

Cool places or Country's visited?

Thank you for your service. Glad you got out with a "good" signature on your cert.
Our retirement ceremonies are held quarterly I had a choice do it in August or October. I chose August to get it over with, you get no choice you have to do a retirement ceremony. My wife was extremely happy I did it. Whatever makes momma happy 😁

I have been on terminal leave since October 8th, I was extremely lucky I had one of the best CSM you could ask for. On 1 June he told me to go take care of myself and not to worry about the Army or the BN.
Congratulations 79s! My hat is off to you! I still have a few bros up your way that I served with many years ago. My buddy, is up there somewhere as a GS level worker! Lives outside of Palmer.

I did just a few days past 24 years but it was a mix of National Guard and active duty. My last duty station in Alaska is the missile site just above the Claxon drop zone. Were you in Afghanistan in 2009 by any chance ?? Around Gardez and FOB lightning ?

You will find yourself struggling for a few weeks trying to adapt to the "new you" but it's worth it. Thanks for your service.

Congrats, bro. And thanks.

Terminal leave is nice. I had 60 days saved up, plus they gave me 20 days of house searching/looking around whatever they called it. Like you, I didn't wear I uniform for the last 3 months.
I got two buckets of Bojangles for my retirement

And carrot slaw

Oh oh and some Milo’s sweet tea

I'll echo these gentlemen. Thank you for your service, and may you enjoy a long and happy retirement.
Thanks for your service!!!

Hope to get to shoot with you again.
Congrats on the retirement! Thank You for your service. Believe you are getting out just in time before the Dems turn our Armed Forces into more of a social experiment and all that other "woke" sheit!

If you're not a double-ace, we won't even golf with you.

And congratulations 79. I did 4 years enlisted and got out.
Congratulations on a well earned retirement! I hope its a long happy one. Thank You for your service.
Congratulations!!

Now comes a real adjustment.
Congratulations!

You realize you're going to dream about missing formation, about being back in for some damned reason and unable to figure out where you're supposed to be, and other crazy stuff like that for the rest of your life, right?

Me, I often dream about joyriding P-3 Orions. Hope yours are as pleasant!

Did you ever go to the Border Patrol HQ at the old hotel 1000 meters from the Border Police regional training center ?? We might of crossed paths a time or two. You had a black Captain, Phillips maybe ?? Good guy. We spent a whole morning with the BP leadership trying to get them to divide up vehicles and ATV's and get them to the out posts.

Congrats on a great career & I hope that you enjoy your retirement as you've earned it.

MM
Enjoy your retirement.

We had no black officers far as cpt go in the squadron but our squadron xo was black Maj Skinner. Anyhow I did go to APB something where they had all these Polaris 4 wheelers, something about ABP couldn’t use them they had no mo-gas. Anyhow I hitched a ride with guys that were over at lightening but were at Zormat to help with ANA to stand up ANA outpost, I forget the name of the operation. Anyhow We road back in a cougar talk about the ch ittiest ride ever. Only time in my life I thought I was going throw up from motion sickness lol. We stopped at the ABP first then to lightening then we finally got dropped off at fob Gardez.
Also the BSTB was more involved with the ABP than the Cav squadron was initially then I somehow got suckered roped into the ABP recruitment program, but before I could really get sucked into
It. Our Squadron mission changed and the entire squadron minus C troop and platoon from B troop moved to Camp Clark to partner with the ANA. Camp Clark was a big ANA basic training facility..
You got a job yet.

I worked from 08 to 14 after I retired.

Find something that pays extremely well others wont do cause it is too hard or dangerous or scwary to em.

Get as much debt if ya have some wiped the fugg out, and call it quits for good.
If ya got kids at the house for awhile still that is a factor in alot of stuff.

I called it quits at 52.

Congrats on your retirement man.
79’s. Thank you for your service. Enjoy you’re retirement. You deserve it.

Congratulations. Well done. I bailed after 6 and never regretted it but man I could have been drawing that retirement for nearly 16 years. Hope you land a decent Civilian Gig after you take a break.
Guess that makes you REAL SHORT.... guess you'll officially retire tomorrow...

hope you enjoy it, where ever you land.... which I am sure won't be back here to Oregon...

Thanks for your 22 years plus of service to our nation there my friend...

A salute of respect... and Happy New Year...

Congrats on joining the Blue ID card club, well deserved! Proud to say I served with you in the same BN and BDE.
