So I find a high dollar set of 327 dies in stock.
Found some brass today.

Are people buying shell holders to load and shoot?
Seriously....I get they whole huge demand thing.......but fugging shell holders??????
327 Federal is just a .32 long long long.
Yeah....thanks.
I had just found that one too.
I guess I over reacted......maybe.....but schit oh dear.....I cant believe how scarce most things are.

A lot of times its a small brick and mortar store you are buying from. I use Ebay extensively and have never had an issue.

Yeah?
Might look into it.

I just realized it's an auction rather than "buy it now." The link will work if you copy and paste it into your browser.
Maybe you can find a shell holder set and never have to worry about having the right one again
Also, I'm quite sure you could load 327 Federal with .32 long dies. I loaded thousands of .357 Maximum cartridges with a set of Lee .38/357 dies. Just back them out a bit.

You can. That's what I do.

Never had a problem either
Jim, where you looking?
The 327 is a bit of an odd size. It uses the 36 Hornady, 4 Lee, 9 Lyman, 23 RCBS, and 10 Redding shellholders.
I have a couple of the #4 Lee and a 23 RCBS.
Let me know if you absolutely cannot find a shellholder. I would be glad to share a Lee #4 with your family if it will get them to shooting this wonderful cartridge. You might be able to find the Lee full set of shell holders at a very reasonable cost.
If interested, I will share a couple recipes which I use to allow the tykes to shoot my LCR and SP101 without excessive recoil or muzzle blast. I also have a couple single sevens and a Henry rifle for the 327.
Also, if interested, I can share home cast bullets in 120 gr powder coated or unlubed, and 95 gr with red carnuba wax.
OH, how are you priming? Do you need a shell holder for a priming tool?

I don't. Tried once. But neither Capitol One nor Umpqua bank could figure out how to communicate with Pay Pal. No great loss.

Melting them down, bro.
They'll be stealin the buckles off your baby blue loafers soon.

There are a lot of things wrong with your statement my friend.....like WTF buy an oddball caliber? I think of the 327 as budget hooker.....you might get more bang-bang but you’ll pay for it in the backend. 😂
PS...”High dollar” and Hornady are contradictory and don’t belong in the same sentence. 😉
PSS....(my ode to Valsdad).....what size shell holder? I’ll look and if I’ve got one it’s yours for an address. 👍
327 isn't an oddball caliber as far as reloading is concerned. It uses the same dies as the .32 long, same bullets, same primers,...
Here's brass.

See my earlier post. Shell holder #s are listed.
I think Natchez show a Hornady set available
Amazon has the RCBS #23 shell holder in stock for ten bucks.

Maybe not but it damn sure ain’t as common as .38spcl. Reloading makes every caliber easy and “common”. It’s also one of those calibers that I almost never see ammo for. (Before this latest panic). It’s a pretty skookum round with light recoil.
77/78 gr cast at 750 fps, 85 gr Hornady XTP at 780 fps, 85 gr XTP at 1500 fps, or 120s at 1300 fps.
I load to 32 H & R mag light loads with 32 H & R COAL or up to magnum loads with power similar to 38 special or even +P. Light loads feel very much like a 22 WMR. Heavies feel like shooting a 38.
It is a very versatile cartridge and thus very much fun.
Many folks shoot 32 auto rounds in the 327 Mag revolvers for schitts and giggles.
Time for bed. Got to be up at six. Will check back tomorrow to see if Jim wants some help.

If they have sold 119 shell holders they are an ok seller.
We buy from sellers on eBay fairly often
Thanks for the info IdahoShooter. 👍

it's not that uncommon if I have one or two of them.
PSSS, Thanks for the nod
I'm using my Lee 32 H&R dies for 327 Fed loads with good results.
Sorry, can't help with the shell holder..
Hornady dies are my last choice

Jim,
Maybe you already know, but just in case.
Be sure and buy carbide dies for the 327. You might have to look longer or pay a little more. But you will regret it if you don't.
I had a 327 put in a 57 chevy pickup once. Ran great.
327 goodies.
Yeah....thanks.

Know what you mean. I knew about primers, powder, bullets and even brass. But dies and shell holders? A friend wanted to start loading for 243 and 270. Every place I looked are out dies! WTF
Relax. Everything dies from Covid.
327 goodies.
Show off .Not quite there but have plenty of primers, brass, bullets and powder for any of the creatures that I can shoot in my Ruger single seven.
Got a bunch of .32 ACP and just a bit of Remington 32 likely from the thirtys and more recent .32 Long and then several hundred .32 H&R mag rounds plus an ammo can of 327 that will bust my ears more than maybe the Ruger Blackhawk in 30 carbine which is saying something.
Some of the .327 stuff I'll no longer shoot in my LCP. Just too brutal and I'll work it out with .32H&R loads.
