Will a 2 1/2" .410 shot shell chamber and fire in a 444 Marlin rifle?

Thompson Contenders in 45(long) Colt also shoot .410 shells and have a screw-in straightening vane (like a choke tube) to halt the twist induced by rifling. I have killed many birds with mine.

You could also get smoothbore with internal choke tubes..

Roy, still at it ??? I know they will in a 45-70. actually i will check my 444 in a bit and see if it will chamber.

I had one of the early models with an external tube to stop the twist. It worked pretty good with the 410 but accuracy with the 45 really sucked. They improved them considerably later when they went to the internal tube.

Idk. But you can take the 410 apart and reassemble it in a 444 case and seal it with hot glue and milk jug material.
