If this is ever going to change, we need to clean house starting locally. We need to take every election as seriously as the presidential election. We need to stop focusing on what the conservative media is talking about and get our own houses in order. The deep state and Q stuff boosts ratings, but there wasn't some deep state operative in the polling places locking out observers. It wasn't George Soros feeding ballots through machines 4 or 5 times. Yes, it's important to recognize that there are larger forces at play. But the fraud is carried out locally, and we pay no attention to how it is being set up until it is too late. I can only give examples from our state.

In PA, elections are overseen locally by boards of elections which are made up of elected county commissioners. Our county voted around 70% for Trump, yet almost every election cycle the commissioners switch back and forth between Republican and Democrat. Why? Because they are midterm elections, and the fact that someone's dad owned a car dealership so his name is more recognizable gets him elected.

The justices on our fugged up liberal state Supreme Court, that one that has refused to hear all of Trump's appeals, are ELECTED. It's easy to say that we're screwed because of Philadelphia, but that's a BS argument. The last justice elected in PA won with right around a million votes in a midterm election where turnout was around 2 million. Trump had 3.4 million votes in 2020. If half of the Republican voters would pay attention to midterms, we would elect every justice.

Both houses of our legislature are republican yet our commie Governor won in 2018 with 2.8 million votes. The very conservative challenger got 2 million votes. Now we sit here and bitch when he locks us down. We could have won that by a landslide without a single Democrat vote.

Yes the Republicans have sold out, but we don't vote in the primaries to get rid of them. Pat Toomey (who actively fought against the challenge to certifications) won his initial primary in 2010 with less than 700,000 votes. We can't blame that on the Democrats or deep state.

Trump hinted at the right strategy at his Georgia rally. We need to get control of everything we can locally and primary the sell-outs like Trump promised to do in Georgia. We can't create a third party and expect success. We need to retake our own party. If we can't take over a party of conservatives we can't expect to take over a country.

I am also sick of the mantra "he just was not a good candidate". We need to start running everyone, and let the leftists know that their candidates are the ones that are not acceptable. The biggest problem IMHO is that we need to get the elections cleaned up. It will not work to just pass laws, there were laws on the books that the commies just plain ignored to get what they wanted. Also, it includes everyone in power. I am becoming a firm believer in the fact that anyone who wants to be a politician is just looking for a way to become a millionaire, not to "help my fellow americans."

jmh3, I don't know about where you live, but in my area ALL of the races for judges are run as non-partisan.

You have to dig really deep and really hard to find out who these fuggers really are.

Most are elected via feel good he/she looks like me identity politics.

You wouldn't believe the schitballs we have for judges here. And they can ruin your life, if you're not careful and diligent.

Voting ain't going to change squat at this point.

If that fact didn't get glaringly pointed out you the last 2 months, nothing will.

I spend time on Arfcom and this was stated by a guy I only know as Overkill777.

"Trump could not defeat the swamp but he did reveal them. Now we see how [bleep] we all are. Before Trump we had no idea how deep and vast it was".

Factor that in when you consider your next vote or even everyday on this planet. jmh3 talks about cleaning house. That (or this) is what we are up against.

Exactly why the left has escalated their attack.
We know.

Your points are well taken and generally valid. We can still work at the local and state levels to affect the outcome of elections in the flyover States and rural counties. The corruption in large metropolitan areas is so entrenched I don't think it can be corrected short of completely abandoning the present system. The effectiveness of local and state elections will depend on states being able and willing to exert their state's rights. A war was fought over this issue.
At the federal level election fraud has been perfected and will continue to be fine tuned since there is no penalty through the court system. This expertise will filter down to state and local elections unless stopped. We the people have become irrelevant and the election results depend on the majority of useful idiots doing what they are told in exchange for government benefits.
I think the Republican Party is pretty much done. For decades they have been on defense, never once making demands on the other side, always ready to give up ground to placate their enemy. I terminated my membership in the Arizona Cattle Growers Association for this very same reason. Their lobbyist would enter negotiations and the first thing he said was "this is what we are willing to concede."
Where we go from here remains to be seen. I see favorable conditions for a third party to be organized and eventually become influential but it will have to happen quickly because in one generation we will be a second or third world communist, socialist country.
FWIW, I see myself as a Libertarian more than a Republican. Maybe that's one small thing I can do, change my voter registration to Independent or Libertarian. If enough people did that it "might" send a message.

A lot of times here they get both D & R nominations and run unopposed. That should be the first clue they are no good.

We need to be done with name recognition politics and pay attention to primaries.

I get your point, but I don't think a third party will ever work. We have a majority of the voters in the Republican party behind Trump right now. We need to take back OUR party the way the left took over the democratic party. We can get OUR candidates on the ballot in primaries without a single vote from anyone other than a Trump supporter. Turnout in primaries in any year other than a presidential race is nothing. We already have the votes to do it, but need to start now and not wait. Once we have control we won't lose it. There are too many of us.

Third party historically has been a trainwreck, true. But for a while at least, the disorganized cluster we called the Tea Party, herded some of the Rino's to the right from their 'go along, get along, bipartisan cooperation' line of bullschidt.

The Tea Party flipped the house and pushed the Republican party to the right with basically no organization. They proved it can be done. MAGA dwarfs the Tea Party movement. Its bigger than Trump.

Best place for a third party is dividing your opposition.

Voting doesn't work because we elect scumbags to our own party. They could not have cheated unless the Republican governors in Arizona and Georgia, and the Republican legislatures in Pennsylvania let it happen. The Republican party is only fugged because of the people we put there. The Democrats don't choose our candidates.

Precisely correct!

It all starts locally. It's conservatives' failure to recognize this fact that put us in the place where we now find ourselves. The cheating in Atlanta and Philedelphia was facilitated by local officials. Top-down influence will not correct the situation. Pressure from underneath is what drives upheaval, and upheaval is what we need to accomplish.

Whining is much easier than working, though.

impossible to clean house locally in my city/county. over 75% of the voters are registered dhimmicrats. No matter how poorly the commissars perform, they get re elected.

same thing up here in North FL, Greg. We have dedicated anti American commie bastards sitting on the bench, running their catch and release programs for violent, repeat offenders.
