Fishing wasn’t great but I caught a snook in Florida in early 20. A couple pheasant and a quail bird hunting. Bum hip made me cancel the rest of my season. Rebuilt now so hopefully 21 will be better.

Reckon I'm not having those issues.
Are you clicking on the image you have stored there, and then selecting the format you want from the menu on the right?
Caught a nice little 18 inch Redfish earlier this month. 1 pitiful redfish in half a days fishing. No pics, didn't seem pic worthy at the time but it did happen.
A squirrel in my orchard yesterday. I froze it whole. Next weekend we're having a scout winter campout with a class on dressing wild game for survival. I'll thaw it out and use it for a demo. I wish I could get a couple more but I've been keeping them pretty well thinned out. I tried to get a couple jackrabbits, too, but no luck there. Jacks are WAY down this year around here. Last night I drove 20 miles on desert roads about dark and didn't see a single one.

The good idea IT tech fairy,s need something to say they need to do during vid conferences or planning meetings to justify their jobs. Everyone's head start going up and down in agreement just ta shut him the fugg up so they aint gotta hear his techy talk anymore. Then others cant unfugg their schitt they did thus assuring job security for themselves.
Little meat buck end of Nov. old man was with me at the cabin. Lost most of the rest of rifle season and all but last day of late muzzleloader sitting in the hospital with the old man. Next year will hopefully make up for it, lord willing he’ll be there to see it.

Two coyotes and a turkey, this fall, on my farm. Went out to find a turkey, first called in two coyotes, and then on my way back to the truck, a flock of turkeys came out of a tree grove headed my way. Made for a tasty Thanksgiving dinner! (just the turkey.) The .22 Hornet works well for varmints and turkeys alike.
I sighted in with hand warmers. This is the final zero test at 100 yards.
I used a filet a fish box to confirm the sights with a muzzleloader. I figured if I can hit a filet o fish box at 50 yards, it'll work on a deer at 50 yards
A baby pig on 12/29 and a fat sow with a mess of little ones on 12/30.
Both with a .260 in Erath County, TX.
Where at in Erath county?
SW of Bluffdale
That’s a lot south east of my place. There’s plenty of piggies in Erath county. Christmas week I caught 23 in a couple of traps. Still have a bunch more to catch.
Jmh3: Yesterday I posted on the fresh water fishing forum how my main Elk Hunting partner and I decided to go ice fishing a few days ago. I can E-mail or text pictures to anyone that would like to see a batch of really big Rainbow Trout we brought to bag. My partners biggest fish was measured and weighed at 29" and 5 pounds 9 ounces on a "De-Liar". My largest Rainbow was 22" (3 1/2 pounds? - didn't weigh this one) and I also caught a dandy big Brown Trout that was released so I could fill my limit with the better tasting Rainbow Trout. My partner also caught a Fresh Water Ling Cod (Burbot). Day before yesterday another Hunting partner and I made an excursion over east to view some Elk as we had been told they were down out of the mountains - and boy did we see Elk! Saw 6 herds of Elk in a 20 mile stretch of a huge valley - the Elk totaled at least 5,000 (five thousand!). We both are now considering "changing" Elk Hunting areas. I've seen three Coyotes in the past week but they were on ranch lands I don't have permission to Hunt on as yet. Last Friday I made the long trip to my favorite Montana gunshop to check on a gun they are holding for me pending a gunsmiths inspection. It was not purchased (inspected) as yet but I did buy a mint perfect Smith & Wesson Model 60 (1972 manufacture - no dash #). That will go in my collection to watch appreciate in value over china joe and the ho's administration! Taking the day off today the VarmintWife is going to cook up a 5 pound prime rib for dinner. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
Rather large and very aggressive rattlesnake. I was doing some assessment work at this gold mine with a few friends and the snake decided it didn't like that very much. I don't usually kill snakes, but figured I'd rather deal with it then than encounter it deeper inside the next day. Two rounds of 2-3/4" 00 solved that problem, we found the head about five feet from the other snake pieces.
Trap, skeet, or sporting clays? Is that 89 out of 100 or 89 out of 500?
To answer the OP, 5 pheasants and filled my turkey tag last weekend. Bird and big-game season are all done now up here. Nothing but fish and varmints until Sept.
~ 10 days ago, called in a coyote - son shot him at 23 yards. A little later, I called in a bobcat to ~ 35 yards - I got him. That afternoon, I called in another coyote, he hung up at ~125 - 150 yards - I got him, too. Son never got a good shot after the first. May go out again today, alone.
👍👍 Man doubles are fun as heck. Ftcky changed their regs 3 yrs ago to 1 a day. BTDT 4 or 5 times over the years. Heads line up right sometimes just gotta wait for it
Also fun letting one flop with another on a feild till temptation is too much to him thinking the other is covering up a hen.
Then blam!!! shoot the other on the approach or off the others back when he is flogging him.
[url=https://postimg.cc/fJKn29xL][/url Hopefully this afternoon's hunt will look as good as yesterday's afternoon hunt. It's the last afternoon of deer season here in Georgia.

Ice fishing always intrigued me. Absolutely hardcore. Fish being cold blooded, you would think that they would not be interested in biting very much. What do you guys who do it estimate the water temps to be under the ice?

Low 30's Fahrenheit just below the ice. Slightly warmer as you go deeper.

That pic brings back memories of cull hunts. Pickup beds level full of German Shepard size deer.

Yep. Had a few of those 6 or 8 days. They look fat and tender, too.
Just tripled on Duck911, Starman, and Happy Camper in the “My friend got COVID from the COVID vaccine” thread.
Other than that, I got this dude the other night...
Bait please?
Usually pre-bait with a little bird seed when I know they’re in the area. When I set the traps, I’ll go out that day and clean up all the bird seed so there’s none left, then mix a little glycerin in some peanut butter, slather it on the trigger, and then sprinkle a little of the same bird seed on the peanut butter.
Glycerin probably isn’t necessary in most places, but without it my peanut butter is a popsicle in an hour, or so.
Unless you were talking about the three stooges. In which case they’re usually pretty good at setting themselves up such that bait isn’t a requirement.
Haven't killed anything since I dropped a doe muzzle loading.
No unethical hunting methods that result in tired deer, barely able to take a step, were used during this hunt.
Yeah..
But -1 for hunting in the snow. Gives an advantage when blood trailing.
Thats a big doe.

RC, i know some who say jackrabbits are delicious and ask me for those i shoot.
Then you had a burger, beer, and hit the back 9???
Haha, winner winner...
Was just thinking of the Col. There was an airgun show on TV and they were boating canals shooting big lizards. Tons of free food down there. I wonder how they taste.
Son wanted to set a cage trap in the backyard, possum in it last saturday, did the thing with a couple 22shorts, looked like deal was done.
Joker still breathing the next day, a couple more shots, left it.
Joker moved about 20 yards overnight, may have been dragged, but it was still breathing. A couple more shots on Monday and a strike from a piece of firewood,
Well anyway, still alive yesterday afternoon, 5 more shots, just went ahead and put him in a bag and got rid of him this am. Dangdest thing I've seen in a while.
I felt a little bad. How it survived maybe a dozen 22s to the head and a couple to the chest is beyond me. Those are some bleedin jokers too.
That's a certified whopper sow right there. Very nice. I don't envy the drag out....lol
What state did she come from, and what cartridge did you shoot her with?
Yeah, it took 3 rednecks, 6 beers & a tractor to get her out! She was about 20 miles from my place in middle TN & a neck shot with my .300blk took her straight down

Sounds like a good time, even if there was a lot of work involved!
Paul; Good afternoon to you sir, I hope that the year's been as good as the photos indicate and you and those who matter to you are well.
Thanks for sharing the ice fishing photos with us, it's always an encouragement to me to see folks getting out doing what I'm apparently addicted to as well.
While what I'm catching would be bait in your part of the world, it's nonetheless something I love and with a daily limit of 20, there's enough for a good meal of fish tacos for two of us!
The little mountain lake I like to go to finally froze enough about a week ago to get out and try my hand at it.
While the fishing was a tad slower than some days last year, I had a limit in a few hours and honestly it's a nice diversion sitting in a tent watching that light line twitch.
Thanks to the OP for the thread.
All the best to you and yours this year Paul. Stay well.

Cool Dwayne! We don't have yellow perch, but LOVE me some bluegills. I'm glad to see so many guys fishing. Winter fishing can be some of the best. Most people don't do it, simply because it's so different from warm weather fishing that they never really try.
ltppowell; Good afternoon to you sir, thanks for the response.
Indeed it's something that I loved to do years back and then quit because of family, work and well life getting in the way.
A couple years back my hunting and used to be fishing partner talked me into going with him again. I had such a blast I went home and had a tent, auger and a couple rods for the next time out together!
The rest of the stuff I had I think Pat. Anyways as I say, they're all small and some folks wouldn't bother with them, but I really like to eat Yellow Perch and it's also one of the few fresh water species my good wife likes to eat, so that's always good too.
We've got what I believe are smaller cousins of your Bluegill called Pumpkinseed here and I've eaten them, but they're not in this particular lake - yet....
It's a stocked lake so here that means hatchery rainbows, brookies and kokanee, but someone put yellow perch and some koi in there as well.
Thanks again and all the best to you and your fine family sir.
The last thing I caught was late August I took my wife and son out to drop crab pots but while I was looking at the bottom contour to find a good spot to drop the pots we ran into a massive amount of bait. Birds working it, dolphins balling them up and salmon coming off the bottom working it. I told my son that it was too good to pass up so I dropped a ‘rigger and one rod with my deadliest spoon. That spoon has caught so many fish that the multitudes of fish teeth had worn the finish off and teeth marks have made a permanent imprint. We made one pass through and released a shaker on the second pass through the rigger tripped and a nice fish was stripping line at a rate I haven’t seen since albacore fishing offshore. I gained some line tightened the drag a little more and told my son that it’s a 15-20 pound King. He thought I was crazy since we hadn’t even seen the fish yet. He fought it for almost 10 minutes before the fish tired and came to the net. It was a beautiful 15# King and we had only spent 10 minutes with lines in the water. The communist state of Washington closed fishing because of the bullshit pandemic and since I always listen to communist dictates I would never disobey them.....
The last thing I killed wasn’t for food but depredation and the statute of limitations hasn’t expired yet. 😂

Hi Dwayne, yes sir, all good further east of you (.gov excused !! ) !
Love me some perch & crappie too, even the odd, cold water snot rocket !!
Our best Crappie lake is frozen, but has so much slush, I/we're waiting for some decent cold to freeze the top.
Paul; Thanks for the reply and further photos sir.
Now you do realize that you're putting me in a difficult situation here with those giant perch photos, right?
The Good Book indicates I'm not to covet anything my neighbor has, but my heavens sir, those perch are massive!!!
Honestly if I was to land anything close to the size of that one on the cutting board with the walleye, I'd have to pull my Stormy Kromer off in a big hurry lest it get stuck there permanently!
We can only dream of perch that size sir, but dream we must and dream we shall.
I'll also opine that any of us who has a wife that'd accompany us on hunting, fishing or outdoor forays are among the most blessed of men.
Thanks again and all the best to you and your lovely wife even though she catches bigger perch than I do.
Dwayne
PS; Most excellent taste in fillet knives as well sir, but then I'd expect nothing less from you!
Dog alerted me to this little guy hanging out in the backyard when I got home from work today. CZ 452 with CCI Quiets was the tool for the job. Very effective!

Rock ptarmigan. I am headed out in the morning to check lynx traps but will have a .22 with me and will be in more ptarmigan country, so one never knows what the day will bring.

Good deal.....I haven't caught perch since I was a teen. That does look like a good time.
