This one right here. 12 gauge buckshot and a 7mm bullet sent down range with 280 Rem ballistics. It's topped with a VX 3i 3.5-10 and is strong like Panzer Tank!

Those Springfield armory .22hornet/.410’s would work
Many years ago ( like 40ish) an old ranching couple from out about 100 miles west of Austin brought one of those into the shop that they had found out in their pasture while feeding the cows.
Those are too valuable to get dinged up or to throw down.
Much less break a stock over some knuckelhead's noggin when all three barrels are empty.
War is hell!
Wonder how many of those were laid in a gutter next to their civilian counterpart and run over with a Sherman?
Where's that gutter now? Maybe if the owner covered it with his body something might be salvageable?
Somewhere in Germany. My best friends dad told us once he couldn’t figger out why we like those damned old army rifles and such as he said he broke his back carrying stacks of em to a city gutter and laid em out nice an purty on the cobblestones for a Sherman to run over
