Every so often I have to dispatch a messed up cow and the open sight 30-30 gets the call.


Pretty sure we out of 30-30 ammo.



The local co-op was completely wiped out, zero ammo.

Really? You could shoot alligators with it and make custom alligator head covers. 30-30 is perfect for shooting alligators from a johnboat while wearing a mullet and a button down shirt with the sleeves cut off.

I was digging around in my ammo stash the other day and found 50 rounds of 30-30 ammo loaded with Lapua 150 grain flat points. I don't remember putting them together.

That's about the only thing good about getting old.

I've shot for butchering on the farm probably 30 mostly holstein and used just a 22 long between the eyes. I shot a big azz angus for a friend and decided to use the 22 hornet on that one, it worked good also. Angus tend to have thicker skulls.

I get all of mine from the Kipa Man at 5 Ben Yehuda in Jerusalem. They are either wool or Christian baby placenta thread (900 count), depending on your budget. And if you want a kosher cheeseburger, they're right across the alley.

If you were not aware and If you get the Hornady and your rifle is zero @100, Hornady will be 6" higher.

Maybe five or six years ago one of my gun club members was whining that he couldn't find any good 40 S&W ammo. Offered to sell him a 50 count box of Fed Premium 180gr Hydra Shok for $35. He got wound up, called me a pirate. Said it was less than that at Bass Pro. But they didn't have any. Fumduck was confusing a 20 round box with what I'd offered him.

Couple times after that he asked if I still had the ammo. Yep,.but told him I wouldn't sell him a box for $100. Right now he'd probably pay that much?
