Cut up a deer I shot a couple days ago and made 4 types of Italian sausage, kielbasa and deer sticks.

Oh and I didn’t turn the tv on all day. Joe and the Ho can kiss my lily white azz

Went to work.. plowed the driveway, cooked elk steaks for dinner, lifted weights with my boy...

Watched Newsmax for maybe 15 minutes.
Ran Sex-cavator all day.
I DIDN’T try to destroy our once great republic. Gonna continue my streak tomorrow!
Went to work, have to wear a mask to make them happy to keep the job....I hope the family is safe and fed. If that isn’t enough I don’t know what is.
I went fishing with a friend. To be more specific, I scouted for the paid trips coming up the next few days. So yeah...even though it sounds like play, I accomplished something.
That looks awesome

I did nothing
Looks awesome, you were far more productive than I!

Continuing to try and get my 460 S&W XVR to shoot to my expectations. Getting closer, 100 yard groups are good, velocity is much improved, still have high pressure issues (difficult extraction) to deal with. Will go to the backyard tomorrow and shoot some more! memtb
I sighted in my .240 Wby and loaded a few shells for it also.
I went to the Doc today.

Got tested for the plague and it came back neg.

Got some more antibiotics and some other meds.

After i got home i worked on my Dads s-10 pickup.

Didn't watch tv at all.

Ran an alternator that was killing my battery in the Mustang to a shop in the AM. Afternoon call confirmed an internal voltage regulator fail and I will pick it up gratis tomorrow. I also organized 60 or so pounds of powder. Primers tomorrow...

Swept the flue. Woodstove, I do it myself two or three times a year.

Changed out sediment filters in the home water line.

Shot a few rounds with the air rifle.
Well, I brazed on a sheet steel cattle tank heater. Still leaks. blush
Changed the carrier bearing in my pickup.
Got rid of a WSSM smile

Block sanded a 57 chevy, rolled the tracks off a 1954 bombardier snow car, pulled both drive axles removed the interior floor, disconnected the drive shaft, removed the diff carrier, sourced a used one online from a late 30's desoto, drank 2 PBR's and logged onto the loony bin here.

Hey! Sir David, good to hear from you! One of the best on this loony place.
Damn sure didn’t turn on the TV.
Plucked the ducks I shot yesterday. Scouted for my hunt tomorrow. Help tag some new born calves. Watched a heard of about 100 elk pile on to one of the fields late this afternoon.

Full day
Packed in a couple days of firewood
A 3.5 mile walk
Went to the office
Checked mail
Made a couple purchases
Chipped out 2 large arrowhead/spear points
Finished a book on the Finlay's River history (in Rocky Mt Trench of BC)
and helped Cookie work up supper.
I did a couple cool science experiments with my kids and taught my son about functions and ordered pairs. I helped my daughter work on some small essays. I bitched a lot on the Campfire. I made dinner for the family because my wife isn't feeling well.

I do my best every day to live my best life. Today, I've spent a lot of time wondering, with a bit of worrying, how bad things are going to get, and how fast, now that the criminal regime is fully in charge.
I turned my American flag upside down.
Drove to the base, taught a class about night flying and the night landing pattern, had an instrument flight in the simulator with a student and then a low level navigation flight with another student.
Tasking by the CINC house sent me to the commissary to pick up a few things. At home, couldn’t stand to watch much on the tube so fixed myself a drink with Wild Turkey “Rare Breed”, picked up my copy of Mule Deer’s GG II, read some and watched a bit of Tucker on Fox. Now I’m picking up GG Ii again for some more education. 😀

Condolences. Buried four in the last two years to fuggin cancer.
Two during covid so very limited family get together which made it worse.
We're avoiding reality in E. Central Nevada. Hiked and called coyotes w/ a great view of Wheeler Peak. Ribs and beans for dinner w/ G&Ts for dessert. Did anything significant occur in the world today?

Got one hell of a laugh from gunswizard's comment in the Squirter thread.

Still chuckling
Lowered my Gadsden to half staff, rode the exercise bike and finished my tool cart in the shop. Had a couple of drinks to ease the pain.
I didn’t watch any network news and won’t for the next four years other than my girl Maria Bartiromo before work.

Worked 10hrs like every other day then spent two with the old man who’s slowly recovering, came home for sushi with the Fam at 7:30, drinking bourbon and watching night stalker on Netflix and posting on here now. Bed at 11:00 and up at 5:00 to do it all over again.

I'm sure he is honored by your kind words, just as you were honored to know him. It's a rough day to bury a loved one.

I ended up burying my dad on his birthday, and his dad on my birthday.
Put 2500.00 through the till today at the shop so life is good. Druggies keep cutting off catalytic converters around here keeps business good.

Condolences.
Loaded the tractor on the gooseneck and hauled it to church. Unloaded some donated new playground equipment for our community park. Saved a lot of hand work not having to take each piece off the pallets and out of the crates. Came home and squared away the truck, tractor and gear to do some light logging Friday. Making a pressure cooker caribou roast right now.
Shot my first woodcock today. Been chasing those little swamp bats the last 2 seasons and finally found one that flushed and gave me a good shot. Had my 8 YO son and 2 YO german wirehair with me, so other than the obvious election BS, it was a good day.

You’re living the dream Sal
Made a big pot of chicken and sausage gumbo. Aiiieeee
Went to work keeping the wind turbines running, came home worked on getting my reloading /skull cleaning shed wired up
Replaced the starter on my old Kawasaki mule.

Maybe it won't die on me at the DG again.
Went for a 5 mile walk after work today.
Bob and I played in the snow!
You know Bob-cat! smile smile smile
Cleared the drive by the house and office, then the (small) RV Park, then something over a mile of sidewalk and driveway, but only 1/2 - ~16' wide.
Multiple passes though as the snow was deeper than that little guy could handle after the first pass.
Cleaned out my car, sold some stock, scheduled a vaccination and went to cardiac rehab. Listened to Sniffer say he'd promise to protect the constitution and decided to load more 5.56.
Let's see, got a flat tire fixed, bought a few groceries, went by the bank, at lunch with a friend, picked up some D8 (big, big, big) batteries and put them in a truck, and repaired an extension cord, then called it a day.
Deleted Facebook
Short work out this AM, 11 hours at office, watched the daughters at half time of the high school ball game tonight. Ate some leftovers. Made a drink, finished some paperwork, about to hit the pillow.
Spent all day outside with chain saws, tractor and the Farmi winch clearing a much larger fire break around our in ground water tanks. Built a large slash pile that will burn tomorrow.
Borrowed a reel trailer.

Loaded a big roll....4500 feet I think...of 2 inch HDPE with the excavator.

Loaded excavator and we took both to the field.

Will get my man going in the morning.

Removed a big Holley double pumper, cleaned and rebuilt it and re-installed on the '68. Replaced the fuel pump as well. Still need to replace two rocker studs. Finally found the old data about my best load for the 6.5:06 with 140gr. and reloaded some. Hung two loudspeakers in the small shop. Finished the orchestration for two segments of a musical show I've been writing for a long time. Watched a college BB game. The end. Time for bed.
I did some paperwork, took a good shit, cooked a jambalaya and drank a stovepipe or two of High Life. In other words I did more for the country then the POS new President has done in his entire career.

I did the exact same things today.....😁

Your day could be the example cited when describing a Renaissance Man.

Or maybe a polymath
I dunno....polymath sounds kinda kinky....I prefer Renaissance Man. 😂
Just trying to do best with the moments remaining - happy to be able, and it's not dull. Call it whatever fits, but please not - kinky.
Made up stories for my grandkids.
How my plots jump the shark; time travel, magic, and dreams.

I told my 4 year old grandson, you were dreaming you had a time machine. You invited your girlfriend,Totse, to join you in your time machine to buzz some dinosaurs. But T rex tried to bite off your head, so you left, but stopped off on the way home to see some cavemen. You put on your language translator and said, "What at the caveman up to today?" The translator turned that into, "Uga bud dug!" It seems they are cutting up and cooking a bear today. The girls are making clothing from the bear fur.

The key to a caveman voice is to sound like growling the words.
Had the day off so I took my oldest boy to his Jiu Jitsu class this morning. He’s moved on to adult classes now, which is much better for him. Came home and played knife and sheath maker. Finished up a bushcraft knife for my bosses son. Far from perfect but I’m learning with every one.

I tried on my new socialist work clothes to see how they fit.

Gray Sweat Pants ✔️
Wife Beater T ✔️
Soft Robe ✔️
Suede Slippers ✔️

Walked to my mail box to oil the door latch and hinges. I’m expecting a lot of government checks from now on.

Clarkm - cool, fun stuff for the G'kids. Nice imagination.

Ptarmigan - good work - wish I could it that well.

Beaver10 - gave me a chuckle - with the sardonic touch.
Caught a four day old heifer calf by hand that had a big load of sticky baby calf icecream stuck to her tail and butt so she couldn't poop. Pulled it off and cleaned her butt. Doin' mama's work for her except I didn't use my tongue.
Well I noticed the other day while hunting the creekbottom that grandson could use a shot pouch for his rifle shot. So I made him one with antler stopper.

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

He also had this old tush from a small hog he had kilt, and I believe it will throw just the right amount of powder for that little .36 rifle of his! So, I strung him up a charger too!
Working on finishing the house build. Spent the day putting galvanized corrugated metal panels on our shower interior. Bracing glued panels till the adhesive cures. Prepping for the flooring that's next.

Been building this house myself for six years and I am in the final stages. Been a long grind but looking good.
I did a little over 11 miles trekkin’ up in the mountains this morning. It took me 4 and a half hours. It’s like a medicine for my body, mind, and spirit.[Linked Image from hosting.photobucket.com][Linked Image from ]

Looks like damn good medicine.
Hunter4623: I cleaned $100.00 worth of lead residue, carbon and gunk off of an other wise mint Smith & Wesson Model 686-0 with 8 3/8" barrel I bought yesterday!
Took me nearly 3 hours to get this nifty revolver spotless and lightly lubricated.
It looks SO good now I just may keep it - and forego the $100.00 in untaxed profit I was planning on making off of it?
I must ask - WHY on earth don't folks clean their guns (revolvers, pistols, Rifles and shotguns!) anymore?
I am not saying I am better than anyone but for crying out loud when a gun needs cleaning it SHOULD be cleaned!
Let alone when someone is trying to sell said un-cleaned gun?
Nice morning now I'll start packing for a distant gunshow.
To bed early tonight.
Happy Thursday everyone.
Hold into the wind

Caught two mice in my house. Went shooting. Shot a couple of twenty-twos.

My Winchester 9422 Trapper and my Uberti Cattleman 5.5" :

[Linked Image]

Twenty-five yard group from the Winchester, two mags full, standing off-hand, no support.

[Linked Image]

After the first mag full, I raised my point of aim a little, which is why it looks like two different groupings.
Fiddled with the dishwasher for awhile trying to get it running. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr laugh

Darn thing has a mind of its own. Wife has been away visiting g'kids and wouldn't want her to come home to a messy kitchen wink

Snowed today so I might pour myself a spot of bourbon and enjoy a movie.

Bought the darn bottle two years ago and haven't cracked it. WT Rare Breed.
Went to Neurosurgeon
Followed her for 4 miles.
Heading to dentist for 3rd time for crown adjustment
Dinner after. Fajitas

With a scope, it's a tack driver. I used to keep a scope on it, but I like to challenge myself with iron sights, even with fading eyes. it's also handier and more classic looking without the scope.
The Uberti holds 12 rounds. Very nice revolver but, unfortunately, it shoots a bit to the left. I compensate by putting more sunlight on the left side of the front sight than on the right. This seems to do the trick, but slows me down just a little.
Processing the last of my .223 brass and digging out the twice fired stuff yet to be designated as to what I will load in it. Most of my twice fired stuff goes back to my reserve ammo.

kwg
Fugged em out of another day.
Let's see, On Tuesday afternoon, I took off for a 650 mile trip to work cattle on Wednesday. Worked bulls in Nebraska on Wednesday and then loaded up and drove back home. Got home in the middle of the night. Got up, restocked the pick up and packed for the next trip. Put a bale out for the kids' calves and loaded up to drive about 175 miles west to work bulls on Thursday. Got those cattle worked and got on the highway and drove to NW Montana to take the boy skiing tomorrow (Friday).
Up at 5am, made bed, made breakfast for wife, she`s still working, cleaned up, finished my coffee, out to fire up the wood boiler, 10 above this morning, fed the deer, checked over some 06 stuff I`m playing with. Now I gotta get off this damned thing and do something.
woke up got the kids to school, then went and removed a dead body from a house , ate lunch got kids from school , cooked supper and went to bed
worked 3 hours dragging tree limbs off of and from around the cemetery plots at Rose Lake. after doing a dump run and getting gas at the nearest station.

then loaded a third cord of wood into the UTV and watched Gold Rush. kept it to one glass of wine with morel mushrooms and scampi.
I rubbed one out.
Drank coffee.
Went to work. Drank more coffee. Yelled at people.
Went to the DMV for vehicle registration.
Picked up a single six from a classifieds transaction here on the 'Fire.
Got stuff together to check traps in the morning.
Rubbed another one out.
Crusied the 'Fire, looking for a fight to pick.

That has been my day so far.
Posted By: WAM Re: What did you accomplish today? - 01/23/21
Put away all the previously boxed Christmas decorations, made a dump run, got the Suburban serviced for tomorrow’s road trip, went goose hunting for a couple hours, got propane tank filled, and knocked back a couple whiskys before dinner. Happy Trails
So far just had a cup of coffee... but its not yet 4am. I have a few barrels to spin up today and hopefully will get some lead in the air before lunch.
I just woke up from 9hours of sleep. I feel like a million bucks. Plans for today involve jack squat but hopefully Mexican food with my daughter for supper. Wife doesn't like Mexican generally so its usually just me and her.
Gonna look for ammo before vista group jacks up prices 15% april 1st.
Then go help slumlord move a deer stand to a peice of ground on his place.
Take a shotgun to kill any tree rats I see.
Smoked some trout in the little chief and loaded some 30-06. Inventoried my components. I had more Brass and bullets than I thought.

Wild trout or stockies?
Cut down some trees yesterday to make room for a new fence around a cattle pasture. Hurt that rotator cuff again, keep this up and I'll definately have to have surgery on it. Going to go buy a few more cows today. Have to change filters on a tractor and see if that's the problem I'm having with it. If it was Monday, I'd drive down to Clarksville to Midsouth and pick up that powder I managed to snag yesterday.

Yeah, I've seen that the last few times I've been there. But, it's always been in stuff that I've either got plenty of, or don't load for. For example, they had a bunch of 6.8SPC last time I was there, and I've got a ton of that. Almost bought some more 22-250, but I don't shoot it all that much. Actually, I'm pretty good on brass, would buy some more 308 if I see it cheap enough.
Between a haircut and Dr’s visit I laid low yesterday. Charged some 16650 batteries I just got in and changed batteries in our watches. Getting out this morning to run around some.
