And, read that Raven's Progressive Matrices IQ test was discredited some time ago - was scoring folks 20 points too high.

Makes sense since I score 130 on WAIS-R but max out the Raven's PM. Either you are correct, or the WAIS-R under scores IQ by 20 points, LOL. The latter actually seems a possibility, since the WAIS-R is excessively weighted on verbal and knowledge, which should really be considered sources of contamination rather than pure intelligence factors.

Not sure I agree with that "excessively weighted" posture - that verbal and knowledge "should really be considered sources of contamination". Given the way such scoring subjectivity has been managed over time, who is to judge that? Good thing that most of us can recognize a wise and high-competence person when we experience one.
