No

78 grain in a 45acp

??

Wtf
Pure copper bullets?
No .
From what I remember of when the high velocity ammo came out years back, it was aluminum bullets.

oops. Not these... From their website. "Lead free, copper monolithic, nickel plated projectiles."

I'll stick with my 230gr HydroShoks. wink
Looks like copper and composite!
Similar to this stuff.

Is that the stuff that's supposed to defeat soft body armor?

Yep, A friend of mine shot some out of a pc carbine at 1/4 ar 500 plate at 80 yards and punched right through it.

No Gucci-mo for me.

Fancy custom packaging...
Maybe I am a moron, but how can a solid copper bullet have the right diameter and sufficient seating depth and weigh less than half of a smaller sized lead bullet (185 gr) or a third of a well-accepted standard (230 gr)? IF I remember my science courses correctly, copper is only 20-25% less dense than lead.

Kris
It's the new math. grin

OP, you just don’t understand revolutionary technology and a free bonus round. Kinda like that sshhiitt SACharlie smokes.......
Lee Jurras would be proud...

Interesting theory espoused on the NovX site.

Quote
At the heart of NovX ammunition is the exclusive, cutting-edge SST Stainless Steel/NAS3 shell casing. Stainless is stronger than brass, delivers more energy to achieve unmatched velocity and power, and is vastly superior across all levels of performance. Instead of energy lost when brass expands and contracts upon firing, the stainless steel case of NovX ammunition generates energy gains through limited expansion, allowing more energy to be directed at driving the projectile forward at previously unattainable velocities

Now, first, the stainless case must expand enough to seal the chamber, no? Or am I missing something.

Second, could the "previously unattainable velocities" be achieved through much much higher pressures? And how much higher?

I've seen mention of the cases in the gun literature, but I don't recall seeing the pressure levels mentioned.

I wonder, especially with that .223 round in an AR, will upgraded buffers or recoil springs be necessary? Will use void a mfg warranty?

Isn’t it some type of polymer or plastic......hence the light weight! memtb

Not even at normal prices

In the case of NovX yes, a composite of polymer and copper I think they say.

I can't speak for the Liberty ones in the OP

Nope!

I've got some and haven't shot any and I think it was less than a buck a round when I got it. Damn!!!
Sure.

Ha!

I spent all my check on beer......
At reasonable prices I would. From I remember it was always pricey boutique ammo. No way would I pay anything close to $3.40 per round.

600 ft. lbs. of energy, with the recoil of a .22.
$170. a box, seems like wildly overpriced snake oil to me. Won't be purchasing any in this lifetime.

if i was out of ammo and somebody was shooting at me, yes. otherwise, no. whats that made out of? plastic?

That stuff is some nasty stuff, from the videos I saw. Splat factor.

For that much money, I will cast wheel weights.
Splat Factor? That is found with the use of lead.

If you look closely you may notice the lack of deformation on the far right? AK47 AP that bounced off my boot heel.

Nope cause I still have 45 rds of 190 gr jhp Super Vel and it still is impressive and Lee Jurras was proud of it for a fact.
