We all have certain products that we use that are well made and enjoyable to use. List them here. I'll start.
This is the WeatherTech "Desk Fone." Made here in the US, it's highly adjustable and very stable. I have one on my loading bench and my office desk. As an American made product, it deserves a place on every loading bench and office desk. I highly recommend the DeskFone.
I have a pick up truck. Actually two. They are both Fords. One 77' one 90'. Don't care what brand you like. A good truck should be essential to every sportsman.
Have one on a push mower I bought in 1990 and that stupid thing fires up every single year in less than 3 pulls. Original plug. Only changed oil once. One wheel rusted off. Never have sharpened the blades. One year it sat under a snow bank all winter and fired up on the first pull.
Any 21st amendment beers, Woodford doubled oak, Wilcott, Fender, Old carhartts, Johnson levels, old leathermans, Klein tools, Stanley, Plumb, true temper, collins, blue grass, Emglo.
JVC Home Audio Stereo Components. I still have the ones that I bought in 1990, and it all still sounds fantastic. The Original Lava Lamp. I still have the one I bought 43 years ago, and it still works great.
Doesn't seem so long ago we covered this topic, but here goes: 1. Buck Knives, both the knives and the customer service. 2. The Ultimate Firearm Sling - tried one this past season, and it enabled me to carry a rifle hands-free. A big help since I require a walking stick to walk uneven terrain since my recent knee replacement. I'll be buying a couple more. 3. Anything Carhartt. 4. McMillan rifle stocks. 5. Aldi's store-brand corn flakes. $1.29 a box and way tastier than Kellogg's Corn Flakes. 6. Casio G-Shock watches. You just can't kill 'em. I've tried. 7. Moosehead beer, eh?
Ambassadeur and Penn reels, leupold scopes, Johnson outboards, Minn Kota electrics, older Ford/Chevy trucks. Manns jelly worms, devils horse topwaters, Stihl chainsaws. Merle Haggard.. What else is there?
6. Casio G-Shock watches. You just can't kill 'em. I've tried.
You're not trying hard enough.
Firefighting is pretty hard on a watch.
My first one did yeoman's duty and lasted for about 12 - 13 years. That watch went there and back again. I wore it through workouts, runs, swimming in lakes, worked on my cars with it. No complaints. When it finally died, I bought another to replace it. That second one didn't last 3 years. Bought one last one after that. I don't think I even got a year out of it. So I'd agree with you based on the experience with my first, but the last two not so much.
If you like Surefire flashlights....forget the CR123......get KeepPower 16650 rechargeable batteries. Watch Amazon and you’ll see two packs for $26.
I've owned 3 Surefire Flashlights. 1st one popped and completely quit after 20 minutes of use. Replaced batteries, replaced bulb, no joy. DOA. Got another one. Dropped it from waist high once and it probably lasted 15 minutes. Replaced batteries, replaced bulb. DOA. There are very few things in this world oversold than Surefire flashlights. Every brand ever made is better than a Surefire.
Plastic spoons or sporks. Chef Boyardee products. Accurate reliable firearms even if they are considered beneath some people,s snob factor. Ford Rangers in general, dont know squat about the new ones. Stay away from the dual fire 4 bangers though.. The smart phone and xnxx. Snivel gear. Individually wrapped processed sandwich cheese. Orange👍👍👍 Instant coffee. Most anything involving chocolate. Crunchy peanut butter ( combined with above in many cases) Fire. The wheel. Having dogs work with us 10,s of thousands of yrs ago.
I run Milwaukee now for last 10 years Hornady I had a hard tail specialized. Liked it. I ride (had a few) giants, Kona etc. GIANTac1 was my favorite Rolling a taco now. Love it. Brass? Anything works for me at the moment.
The 255-85-16 E set on my truck were purchased in '01 or '02 for my 83 GMC diesel. I traded the wheels and tires onto the new to me 96 GMC in '09 before I sold the 83.
I have put 40K miles on them since I moved them to the 96. They had somewhere between 20K to 30K on the diesel.
Yes, they are almost to minimum legal tread depth.
JVC Home Audio Stereo Components. I still have the ones that I bought in 1990, and it all still sounds fantastic.
+1. I have a JVC tuner and amp I bought in the mid 80s. At least 35 years old and still works great. I was so happy with it I bought a JVC home theater receiver. It's been used regularly for 19 years now and has never given the slightest problem. It just works. Home theater has changed a lot since then and I've been thinking of getting a more modern receiver. l'd buy another JVC HT receiver in a heartbeat, but as far as I can tell, JVC got out of the home audio business many years ago and just does car audio now.
Never thought corn bread could be so good I'd mention it on the 24hcf.
It really is that good.
I can't buy that here in Sweden, but I did find a recipe from a cook who has tried 5 other recipes which copycat Famous Daves corn bread mix, and she likes the one below the best. I plan to try her recipe, but I have not yet done so!
Springtime - Honda Power Washer Firearms - Colt 6920, Glock 19, Ruger 10/22, Benelli M2 12ga Gun tools - Chapman Master Kit Chemical - Eezox - best product you can get for corrosion resistance
Columbia Beartooth Hiking Shoes. I’ve climbed 14’ers in them, and done rim to river to rim treks in Grand Canyon (all in the same day) in them. From rock climbing to mountain climbing to long endurance type treks in rough country, they’ve pretty much been my favorite. Wish they still made them.
Casey's has a real nice little tenderloin as well. It would be so much better if they had onions and pickles available on the counter so we could help ourselves.
