This is about a mile from one of my fishing spots. Not deep here but about a half mile up it would be about 3 ft on the road.
Tired of rain but at least it not frozen. We've had about 12 inches this year and getting another inch or so today and tonight.

Aren't you guys due for freezing stuff soon?

Not a fan of flooding either.

Hope not. The ground is so wet if it freezes the mess will be epic.

Just a few miles north of us its been freezing on the lines and trees causing some issues.
NC has had a very wet winter and hardly any has been the frozen kind unless you are in the far western part of the state. I'll be glad for springtime so hopefully it can start to dry out. I did see where parts of eastern NC are under a flood watch/warning. We had a little ice early but it's warming up so hopefully we will have no issues with power outages. Y'all stay safe!
Can't fish yet and my favorite shooting spot is under water.
Guess I'll reload some more.
Looks like some freezing temps at night inland but warmer during the day...
Not pleasant but,
Better than ice water...
Be careful!
In addition to the flooding, there may be some possibility of black ice over the next couple of mornings. Looks like shad season is going to be a bust.
It's ice & mud season up and over here in Appalchia.

I've about given up on the shad. All we ever used them for was cut bait anyway.
They are great fun though when they're really running.

I'm itching for some crappie but I'd don't feel like drowning for one.
There's plenty of water overall but someone needs to work on the distribution. Here in Idaho, there's no place in the state with above average precip since the start of the water year, Oct 1. A few extra inches of water wouldn't hurt us a bit.

Yeah. it's strictly for the fun of catching them. No fish worth drowning for. The roads into the landings I use are, or are going to be shortly, closed due to the high water. Removes the temptation, for sure.
We are 2 1/2 years deep in excessive rain. We haven’t been able to fish in our pond for the last two years due to the water being way up in the trees. You can’t cast! Getting pretty old! We could use a solid month without a drop of rain.
