Are these plates up or upside-down?

Looks like a pharmacist's full pill counting tray.

First time I saw them, they looked up-side down. I looked a way and back, and someone flipped them over.

I can see them either way by closing my eyes for a second then looking at them again.

Up by the virtue of the shadow

Although it could also be said they are down by virtue of the shadow.

It can be visualized either way.

Reminds me of 1975

If the light is to the left they are upside down. If the light is coming from the right, they are right side up.

Kind of strange. If I focus on the rectangle in the upper right corner, I can almost imagine or "will it to invert by isolating it from the rest. Then the rest will appear the same when I look back at them.

The plates are pretty easy to flip but it's really hard for me to get the 2 cups or bowls in the lower left to flip.
