Got this email a little while ago, looks very suspicious

Yep.
It's a "refunding scam". You call, the will ask for access to your computer and have you input the amount of refund you are due, but make it look like you got a $4500 refund. They will then ask you to send them the "over payment" by cashapp, or amazon, walmart/target gift card etc.

Sorry bastards.

I been getting them. I just call the credit card company. End of story.

Scammer foucks everywhere you go these days. Got a prerecorded call the other day telling me I had suspicious activity on my Amazon account for $1400 press 1 for acct verification data. REALLY I thought damn I don't even have an Amazon acct. I hung up on the foucks. Mb

The fact that they spoofed a student email address from a public school system in Kentucky MIGHT be a clue...

If it was an actual student email address it would be .edu
That email is like the getting email for "Paypal" that ends with a gmail address.

Ignore it.

Ignore it and if that is your credit card number, change it as quickly as possible.

Negative. That is the proper standardized KDE email address format for a student enrolled in Christian County Schools in Kentucky.
