My last one prior to that was a Bill Goodmans show in Nashvegas in 05 before Nashvegas outlawed gun shows in city limits.......

Good day here, paid $60 for 2 boxes of Remington high brass #6 .410 and a box of Hornady 9mm self-defense. And bought another new Glock 26 for $525. Not great prices but fair in this market.

Skipped the show in Port St Lucie today. 172 miles rt and good chance no powder and primer guys. I'll wait til big show comes to West Palm Beach again next weekend. I know for sure at least one good powder guy will be there again at that one.

Went to a little show down the road yesterday. Lots of re-priced ammo straight from the shelves of the local Cabela's, or from Academy. The prices were utterly insane. One guy there had some very nice rifles and pistols, at slightly too-high prices (two Smith 18s, for example, a M29-2 8 3/8" in nickel, and some other nice stuff. He was the only one there with his head on straight. I almost bought one of the Smith 18s, but talked myself out of it.

Most of the stuff on the tables were black and plastic, and I've got enough of those. All I spent was the gas money and $10 entry fee, and still feel like I got ripped off.

Got up this morning, after thinking hard about the M18s all night, and decided that since I already have a very nice 617, I'd just pass on those M18s. Then I rolled over and went back to sleep. Fugg a gun show.

Been a long time since I've been to a gun show worth a damn. Saturday I went to a Runnings store ( what I imagine a Fleetfarm or similar) would be. They had a fish fryer I wanted, so while there I went over to the sporting goods part of the store. Very little ammo and a 1 box limit per caliber if they had anything.

They did have about 12 pounds of powder, three of which were H4831SC @ $35 per. Headed out the door with the 3 lbs. of powder and the fish fryer. Good day for me.
