They are either unable to accurately assess the condition of a firearm or they are crooks. Pm me if interested. NB rating was refinished.
Have you pursued resolution?
Are you claiming that they are presenting refinished/restored/refurbished firearms as in "unrestored/original condition"? Tell us more.
They auctioned a Remington bolt gun with the NB designation. It ended up being refinished. They told me they would credit my account 200 dollars. I told them that wasn’t satisfactory and they said that is all they would do. The customer service lady that I was talking too didn’t know squat about guns.
And yes, the NB designation refers to a rifle that is in unrestored condition.
How did you pay? If with a card refuse payments
" me luv you lonnnnnng time'. lol

They are no F U C K I N G good. The top notch items go to " Friends" . Auction my ASS.

I personally know a high end dealer with many great items , many with historical value with provenance 1.75 Mil . his cost, received less the 700K after being wooed by RIA.

Another gun shop owner with fabulous lifetime of collecting , sent his items to RIA for his retirement after selling his shop. Same thing less than 1/2 appraised value.

I know these guys personally.

I do not like auctions, especially this one.
Good info. Seems like they used to be better. I thought that their grading and descriptions used to be legit. Once your reputation is shot, it’s tuff to get it back. No more RIA for me.
i know somebody that buys quite a few lots from them. it's always a trip when a couple hundred guns come in and they are regradedl. find some real gems.
Damn - I was going to bid on Custer's 1878 Colt Frontier laugh

Morphy's descriptions are a little too generous, too
You have to ask yourself if an entity make money from a percentage of what they sell an item from; how truly trustworthy is their word? 100%? 90%? 80%? Etc....... They are in the business of selling and making money from that sale.
You caught this xslight of hand", but think of the thousands of ordinary gun loving people that have no experience in rarity and condition terminology; much less what to really look for? I would venture to say that most gun owners, myself included, have bought a gun trusting what the seller had to say about it, only to find out later that they were either lying, misinformed or just plain ole " I didn't notice that"........

My point is, they are probably counting on the average buyer not knowing Jack & when they encounter someone of your experience and knowledge they immediately offer a quick and painless resolution. For every one of "you" that are out there, there are 1000's that will probably never call them out🤷‍♂️
I’m sure there’s some fine print in there somewhere. If not they’ll find some.
Just a reminder...
