Hope all went well and you're on the mend.
One of my brothers had 5 way bypass surgery about 3 months ago.
Today you would not know he every had it. He's doing great.
Recovery is all about what you do.
Glad to hear that you’re feeling better and that the worst is over
Good to hear.
Mom had 2 valves replaced and two bypasses at age 85. It was hard to keep up with her after that. Thinking that you’ll be the same way.
Put another way,,,you’re now a thoroughly dangerous man who’s getting blood to places that haven’t seen it for a while!!
Seems to guy who stapled my chest back together did a good job
one of my buddy's had that done after a heart attack last month, from what he said I'd not want to go through it, good luck and get well.
I’d just as soon not watch the videos.... glad it went well with you tho, Hope you have a full recovery.
I think Kingston might have sent you a get well card! <g>

Was this something planned or was it unexpected?

BTDT. Was going to ask if they cut your chest open or slid it up your arm or leg.
Glad you are recovering well, brother.
Damn Larry, you should've said something. What can I do for ya?
Had mine 20 months ago, only needed a few pain pils to cope doing ok now. Rehab really helpedalthough at the time it seemed tough. Hope your recovery is speedy

Do you have an IV line in you?
You might be getting a sip of the pain juice in it.

PS
Glad you’re doing good !
Hey!, may Our Lord heal you!
I had mine 6 years ago, if it weren't for modern medicine I'd be dead! Be sure to do the rehab. My medical group had a 12 week rehab program to get thing started. Good luck, you bought yourself some more good years.
I had my double bypass in 2016. I was scared to death and all the worrying was unfounded. Looking back it was a piece of cake. Did 3 months of cardio rehab and signed up for another 3 months, yeah there was some pain and discomfort but it faded away and now is just a distant memory. Took repair material from my leg and more from my chest. Best of luck to everyone who will be facing this operation.
Watch for infection. Check temp regularly and watch for drainage. Had mine three years ago and got a minor infection. Was scarier than the surgery. No incision pain but lots of muscle pain. I was 45 at the time. They said young heavy muscle people were worse for muscle pain. Good luck and try to keep your spirits up. Barry
i hope your outcome is the best possible...what was the diagnosed problem...?
