I didn’t know there were so many Norwegians around.
check the population demographics for each city listed
About 5 yrs ago we had a shooting at the local tavern........ omg
I was born and raised in #7.

Live 15 minutes away now. Still work there every day.

Chester, PA was an awesome place at one point in time. Both sides of my parents family lived there for 3 generations.
Memphis is kind of slipping.
I’m sure the Derek Chevaun trial will fix that
This explains why real estate in my hood is going to the moon lately
None on the list from Texas.

Pretty much from the Mississippi east... you guys can have er.
Welcome to the Great Society. Consisting of democrat run, liberal, progressive, socialist, commie, chitholes. But it's not their fault. It's all those damn evil, white supremacist, conservative devils who are holding them back and oppressing everyone in those cities. Along with the other dangerous threats to our democracy. like climate change. If they could just get huge, multi million dollar bail outs they could fix everything, give reparations money to their citizens, and live happily ever after. Just send more money and we'll fix everything.... Honest, we will.

Here too Brian. By far the best investment I’ve ever made. 👍

Be interesting to correlate the murder rate with the percentage of population that are black for each city.
In 2019 the US murder rate dropped to a near 50 year low................

The Trump economy was a boon. The American people have been robbed of their prosperity, robbed by the Democrats and the political elite from both sides of the aisle. The US's industrialized media has been so complicit that they're seen as conspirators by a rapidly increasing number of moderates and younger idealists.

Check the demographics it ain't the Amish
Without looking at the list, I bet a nickel against a dollar that New Orleans made it.

Went back, took a look and was right about New Orleans, but I see that Baton Rouge made it, too. That one surprised me.

. I was as well, and agree about what a great pace it was - to live, to work, to be educated well. By the time we finished our bachelors degrees, we could see the downturn and went to the Southwest in 1962. It all went sour soon thereafter. We still have loved ones there and visit - but it is a sad reality.

I was born in #2 and raised 7 miles south I joined the navy and only went back to see family.

Well if it weren't for WHITE Supremacy the blacks wouldn't be killing each other! Just saying...
I'm surprised two cities in Arkansas. I've never been there but assumed it was a decent state?
#2 Gary , IN has a lot of poverty but Chicagoland was labeled murder capital many times in other publications.

From memory, the ones that stood out over the years were:

Washington District of Criminals
Chicago
Detroit
Baltimore

And
Arkansas came off the list when the Klintons moved.
Then DC got the title.

Much of eastern Arkansas is a complete rat hole. It is a sportsman’s paradise in many ways, but the towns are a disaster.

Yep, both north and south.
I cannot believe that Chicago did not make the list, also Baltimore (although I may have just overlooked that one.).

Chicago didn't make the list because these are per capita numbers.

Maybe so but I'll bet that the majority of the crime is centered in a handful of areas, not spread out evenly over the cities.
Posted By: Riverc Re: Murder capitol's of America - 04/03/21
Not surprised Baton Rouge & New Orleans made the list shooting and killing everyday.
Posted By: Clarkm Re: Murder capitol's of America - 04/03/21
Low IQ + male hormone -> high crime rate

15 to 25 year old male minorities murder each other.

Democrats cause crime by income incentivizing welfare moms to have more kids.

Democrats raise the crime rate by teaching high IQ college students to be Godless and not reproduce.
I would see what percent is black on black and white on black!

Everything Little Rock and east is similar to the Mississippi River Delta area. Think Memphis, Jackson, MS, St. Louis, etc. It's a lot like the difference between East Tennessee and West Tennessee. There is some beautiful country in Arkansas but it's not in those areas.

Arkansas is usually pretty corrupt also, they did elect Bill Clinton after all. I'm from Mississippi and we rank pretty high with the corruption, Arkansas and Louisiana seem to consistently have us beat though.
I like Miami Gardens.

Ain’t very many murders along our side of the Border, which is surreal considering the location.
Mostly democrat groids.
20 murders during my last year in my previous AO . 21 arrested , 20 black 1 white. Small northern city surrounded by beautiful farmland

Poverty and drugs are prevalent in my current location but all white

Do the math..

They are indeed a violent and predatory race

It's all your fault. You've been oppressing them with all those big screen TVs, EBT cards and free phones into murdering their brothers and sisters.

It surprised me to see a smallish town (pop about 34,000) in PA make the list but then I saw this - 75% African American and then it all started to make sense.

And there was this statistic: "There were 11,662 households, out of which 37.3% had children under the age of 18, 19.5% were headed by married couples living together, 35.6% had a female householder with no husband present, - - - "
Note: No NY State cities on the list and I'm especially shocked that there were none from VT, NH or ME. confused wink
Detroit has come a long way in the last 10 years believe me. Some of the country's best fishing as well. I'm talking World class walleye and musky fishing. It's cool

Our sports teams are a different story though, UGH
I figured Bemidji Minnesota would top the list, followed by Fargo.

Let me add.

Around 15 or so years ago two friends on their lunch break were murdered by a negro while sitting in their car with no provocation whatsoever.

Left a bad taste in my mouth that still remains.
That's what those phugging animals do.

About every time I see violent news out of Fargo, it involves Cans.
I would have guessed that Detroit would be number one hands down!!!
My city, Asheville NC didn't make the list. I live 25 miles outside Asheville.
Last year Asheville had 10 murders, and 8 of them were young black men, and they were murdered by other young black men. Only 2 murders of non-nigs.
And blacks are only about 10 percent of the population, yet they commit 80 percent of the murders. If you removed the blacks from Asheville there would be almost no crime.

The heavily armed states of Wyoming and Montana weren't there either.

Chester is pretty much a suburb of Philly. As MarkFed said, it was pretty decent at one time.....no longer though.

Oh, it has nothing to do with the number of guns (and BTW, NY State folk are more heavily armed than you might think) or the level of gun control (NH and ME have very few gun laws). I just noted it because many have the impression that NY has some very violent or crime-ridden cities. Just wanted to point out that they are no more so (and actually less) than some smaller cities in other States. Though I wouldn't have been shocked if Newburgh NY had made the list. In 2010 their murder rate would have put them in the top ten but it has dropped since then. Though murder rates have dropped, rapes and property crimes are up.

I live in a rural area, in the same county as Newburgh. I had a liberal neighbor who moved from here to Newburgh a few years ago to "live in a more culturally diverse community". Before she left, I told her that if she liked, I could just drive by her house and fire off a couple of shots every now and then. To make our town seem more diverse. She wasn't amused

When the Rams pro football franchise was in St. Louis they wanted to build a new stadium. There were several locations looked at and East St. Louis, Illinois offered a place to build a new stadium. A white Missouri politician from western St. Louis county made the statement that nobody wanted to go to East St. Louis because of the black crime issues there. Holy chit, what a firestorm that created. The East STL politicians were outraged and demanded an apology. The nerve of that guy to point out the truth of the matter! Must be a racist! Of course St. Louis, Missouri ain't exactly crime free either and for the very same reason.
Posted By: SKane Re: Murder capitol's of America - 04/04/21
Guys - this is per 1000 people.

The list looks like this if just going by cities:

Descending order:

Chicago (524 in 2020)
New York city
Philly
Baltimore
Houston
LA
St. Louis
Dallas
Kansas City
Indy
Man, the west coast needs to up its game.

The pop of Chester was about 65k when we left that area in 1962 and the city was still doing quite well - strong industry, some good neighborhoods and some civic pride. Most definitely it was not considered a suburb of Philly at that time - many towns and organized townships down the river between Philly and Chester - and Wilmington, DE is the next city to the south. The bad slide began with riots, looting and burning in the 60s - good folks of all ethnicities fled - state had to take over the school system, etc. It very well may be like a 'burb of Philly by now.

Last year, (or maybe 2019 ) mayor of JXN MS, Mutambo lulu Zakira kumba matata

declared that the city would ban open carry.

“To prevent illegal arms from being carried” or some bs.

“Even If is saves one ...” type.

State AG told him no. It doesn’t work like that.
