Don't know why you would dump AOL...it brightens my morning to see the "news" on their homepage, it's hilarious, they even exceed the preposterous BS peddled by the MSM establishment Ministry of Truth. Starts my day with a laugh.

Proton Mail.

I have been using mail.com for several years. They send me one or two spam mails per week, but not much trouble in the grand scheme. So far, I have not lost a needed letter to my spam folder.

They locked out my accounts unless I enrolled in their premium service.
Since I didn't update my accounts with phone numbers and email addresses, they locked me out.
Wouldn't send 'lost passwords reset" until they were paid.
The computer would send reset code to account that I couldn't access !!

I agree with SockPuppet, my wife shut down her gmail and yahoo accounts after all the bullschit started. She is happy with Proton Mail.

I'd recommend POBox.com. I left Gmail years ago and signed up for pobox.com. $50/year and you own your data. IMHO, free email services are a sucker's choice.
